Could be. If you think you've seen someone before then it doesn't mean that you have. Maybe they've just got one of those faces :).

Or maybe we just recognise each other's "type".  :icon_cool:

Time to see if I we can trust each other ... :)

Well I'm off to play games tonight but I might have a few minutes to post before I go. When I do post stuff about what happens in the alley then it should be fun.

I hope this sailor is not after some kind of sexual encounter :)

Raul likes the ladies; Ivor can testify to this.  He'll not be interested in anything of that nature that a drunken sailor might offer :)

"Oh, yes- there's many a time Raul's trusted me to guard the horses while he pumps a young lady for information. It's surprisingly often we have to be ready to leave town in a hurry afterwards, though. I wonder why all those armed men take exception to him chatting to Lady So-and-so or Comtesse de la Whatever?"

This is looking good so far- can't wait to get aboard the boat. Will I be able to get some stuff copied into the spellbook on the Gull?

Well, this is looking interesting...

Correction, now things are starting to look interesting :D.

I believe you'll have time to copy one or two first level spells or a single second level spell if you focus purely on that and don't do much else.

I wonder if Raoul will take up the sailor's offer :).

Changes made to the adventure so far:

The two acolytes didn't exist.
Brother Salian Berden was supposed to meet the party at a "hotel" and hire them for the job.
Brother Salian Berden's name was also Salind Berden (but Salian sounded more religious so I went with that).

I guess that would depend on whether Ivor has perfected his Anti-locamotive-sickness-induced-by-travel Earmuffs yet, Alex :)

Remember the time Raul and Ivor had to get on that schooner very quickly after the Compte d'Grande Marnier made a false assumption about what Raul had been doing ... :D

Some more changes: Thran Fynlass (the sailor) is supposed to be an old friend of one of the characters. One of the crew members of the grey Gull mentions Thran asking about the character in question and then they meet up at a seedy pub.

The author had spelled Grey the american way (Gray Gull).

I don't think I've chanegd anything else yet.

So how are people enjoying things so far? I trust you're all having fun (and now ablebodied seaman Thrynlass' offer is on the table that opens up some interesting opportunities too :)).

He hasn't had much first-hand experience of elven architecture

He may be somewhat disappointed, just wait and see (this statement will make sense when you finaly get to see the ruins).

I remember that- how was Ivor to know that you're not supposed to void one's dinner over the ship's figurehead anyway?

I know I'm enjoying things, Balgin; you really have gotten me intrigued about these ruins now, though...

It's nothing big. It's not your typical elven architecture because, well, I really shouldn't say yet. I'll just remind you of this little hitn when the time comes to reveal that little fact (it should be fairly obvious once you all set eyes on the ruins, and I do mean all of you).

I know I edited a post to have Thran introduce himself by name but I'm also going to go back and edit it again (because he forgot to mention the sheer size of these gems, "big as yer fist" his friend Barrick said).

Let me know when you've made the change.  I've just replied to him, and my reply might not make sense :)

Done already. And he's told you something interesting too. :) Basicaly he just wants a "straight man" to walk fof with the good whilst the thief gets searched (and then they can all meet up later to split the proffits).

I've got just under an hour before I leave to catch the bus, just letting you know.

I figured that.  But Raul hasn't the INT or WIS to work it out quite that fast, I think, but he's not greedy enough to just jump straight for the gold :) So I'm role-playing it out a little.  Hope you don't mind :)
