Must be a huge update :occasion14: :dragon:

Nope, testicular tortion for the second night running :(. I thought it had stopped last year but it's been back recently and it's not a lot of fun :(.

Is that it for now or should I wait before I post? Also will enough time have passed for Aurum to have finished his meal?

OK, I'll work on other possible solutions.  But I think that perhaps we should move on for now ...

Well the "correct" solution given assumes something really devious that you'd have to spot in the wording.

It's like one of those cryptic crossword bollocks things where you have to abuse the meaning of a word to make the sentence mean something it blatantly doesn't.

Or maybe they just made a mistake (and I can see how it could be corrected too by simply moving one "correct" button, the others all work fine).

You got about two or three buttons right.

So we still need to figure the puzzle out...

So Keeper came up with a solution to the puzzle that works according to the rules as we know them, but that's not what the actual solution is?  :icon_eh: Hmmm...

What's the wording again? I can't find the original post.

Any chance of marking which one caused the others to pop out Balgin?

I think I'm going to move time along a bit. You've been inside a building and walked around, that would've taken about 3-4 minutes tops. However, you stopped to go into every room and spent time in every room (so let's call that more like 10 minutes). You also stopped to search each and every room, so I'll call it closer to half an hour, maybe longer.

So I think I'll say the time is getting on for about a quarter past twelve.

Balgin can you post an update for which buttons made it reset and which didn't. Also please post the rules for the puzzle again.

What's the wording again? I can't find the original post.

Here you go:

Quote
To enter me, this task I set
The hand of Theydori shows what's hid
But seven more hands must close,
Before you'll free the patterned lid
First press the silver hand right down
That is where the path begins
But each hand that follows that
Must not align itself with it's kin
up or down or on a slant
The Hands all pressed must not align
For if they do the game must end
And what I hide is still mine

Quote
Any chance of marking which one caused the others to pop out Balgin?

Tricky but I started on the left then went across the top. I'll try to clarify that sometime in the morning.

Is everyone taking a break I didn't know about? Bear with me on the puzzle box. I've got photoshop installed now so I can do more sophisticated things with it :).

I was actually going to ask the same thing. I am going to post my actions in the other room right now.

Just a second, can they align side to side?  It only says it can't be up, down or on a slant...
No time now, but I'll have a look tomorrow if I'm not beaten to it

I don't think we're taking a break, it's just people seem to want to crack the puzzle before continuing.
