Does the pendant look anything like the bits of gem that exploded killing the monks and injuring the abbot?

Short answer: yes.
Long answer: yes but we'll need to see if your character notices that yet (it'll be obvious eventualy but how quickly you realise will depend on perception, logic & stuff).

So don't you just roll a check against his Int?

Raul has not no chance, then.  But when he does - he'll be sure to let Aurum know ;)

Hey it was late last night and I didn't feel like rolling any dice or making a very judgemental decision.

Did anyone notice how I had the abbot tell you the sacred amulet blew up when they tried to turn the creature? That was a snazy way of avoiding having to check if you'd noticed or not :).

:icon_scratch:  :Doh!: Is this something our characters would realise? Would you be able to make things like thia into Spoilers in future?

It sort of interferes with the suspension of disbelief to be told the "behind the scenes" stuff all the time.  :icon_neutral:

The questions we should be asking are these:
Does it have dungeons?
Does it have dragons?
Does it have transients who kill things for money?  Do you roll a d20?

I would be able to if I could work out how to do it. The main reason for my post was that everyone had just gone silent as if waiting for something from me (when I had just posted something). I got a nasty suspicion that everyone was waiting on this one tiny little query of theirs and wanted to point out that it had already been dealt with.

If anyone's wondering what Fabian & I were talking about, I went back and edited my post after reading his responce to it.

Oh ok, that explain why I was a little most for a second. I didn't post anything because my group is over in the other building and you said we needed to wait during the search so the other group could deal with the abbot.

And I'm sort of waiting because I'm giving Fabian (and to a lesser extent Rod and Alex) a chance to interract with the abbot because, depending on how thorough the search of the infirmary is, it could take a very long time indeed (and as I mentioned earlier, talking is quicker).

I know Fabian has been on recently. Have Alex and Rod been busy again? I have not noticed them on much of late.

Oh... I thought you said you wanted us to concentrate on the search? That's why i held off from any further waffling with chubby chops the abbot.

Nope, the search could easily take over an hour (depending on how thorughly they search and how thoroughly they investigate the objects they might find). Speaking with the abbot hasn't taken anywhere near that long yet. I actualy might need to go back and edit what the abbot said ever so slightly but I think I won't (he's dazed so he's allowed to make mistakes regarding facts to begin with and it's only a very small mistake that could easily be covered by fear, shock and assumption).

Thanks for working that one in Fabian. That will bring us back together and move things along now :icon_wink:
