Yep. What a way to loose a character 'though. He had a big heart (and everyone loved his strong welsh accent).
If I'm unbelieveably lucky, I'll stabilise or recieve very effective first aid within 4 rounds (with two very hostile monsters standing over me and only one character close enough to help out, he's dropped his sword to throw the powder keg so he won't be much use to save me). If I'm really lucky he's the guy carrying our one or two remaining healing potions (I know he gave half of them to the squire).
So, if I'm unbelieveably lucky he won't blow up all my gunpowder, I'll survive and therefore have bullets and powder to keep me going 'till I can create some more (law of averages says that'll be around 5th level).
It's an obscenely challenging encounter (we've had two or three party members in the minus's already).
Edit: Removed the double post
Well, he's got the first aid kit and the potion.
So he threw the bomb at the evil wizard, and missed.
So now, in theory, he's got three rounds to save me from the two giaks standing over my comatose form . Probably not going to happen .
But, the good news is this: he thre the bomb and missed, so it scatters by it's range incriment.
The blats radius is the same as the range incriment.
So the wizard's still taking 1d6+1d3 damage as opposed to the 3d6 damage he would've taken (and the same goes for a lot of his bodyguards caught in the blast too).

Reminder sent. I hope it was friendly enough.
