It could also be cure minor :p.

That version is called "cure light wounds" so I am hoping his is moderate.

Minor
Light
Moderate
Serious

Does it go up to grievous a while after that? Cure minor wound(s) is the 1 hp one (usualy used to stabilise a downed colleague or to finish off a healing session).

I am still hoping for moderate. I was thinking it would be best if Aurum went in case it is a trap.

And if you guys think this encounter's good just wait 'till later :). Sometime in the future I'll make a post, referring to older posts of mine and go "so now you see why..... is on my wishlists or mentioned in older posts". I just don't want to give away any more spoilers 'though.

I see my confusion: Feather =/= Featherfall.
Giving Squall the potion to carry while you do your suicidal brave act could work. Let's see what the others say.

Who's potion is it?

I have no clue. We seem to be the only ones online during the weekend, and we have until tuesday according to Balgin.

Alarian has one healing potion (and I know what it is) whereas Rogan has three potions that might be healing potions (I don't know what they are).

I think it'd be nice to wait 'till a few more people post before moving things along, just so they know what's going on.

Sounds good, they may come up with a better idea.

Well walking down the path is safer (no dice rolls) but it takes a lot more time which means you get less time to save her life.

Hi guys,

Unfortunately I can't remember what they are...
From the price I'd narrow it down to either Potion of Cure Light Wounds or Oil of Magic Weapon, but since Magic Weapon is on my spell list and not exactly a common thing for me to use, I think it was the healing potion and I just confused light and minor wounds.  D8+1 stabilising hitpoints, coming her way!

Also Balgin, how'd they take 34?  I thought falling damage was 1d6/10ft, which would give a maximum of 30 even if they fell at the first check.  :icon_scratch:

NB: I think the next step up is Cure Critical Wounds (in NWN anyway - according to the SRD, CCW is of too high a level to make into a potion, but that didn't stop the game designers...) but it's not in the SRD at all.  How about extrapolating the other Cure spells to make the following:

Cure Critical Wounds
Conjuration (Healing)
Level: Brd 4, Clr 4, Drd 5, Healing 4, Pal 5, Rgr 5
Components: V, S

Casting Time: 1 standard action
Range: Touch
Target: Creature touched
Duration: Instantaneous
Saving Throw: Will half (harmless); see text
Spell Resistance: Yes (harmless); see text
When laying your hand upon a living creature, you channel positive energy that cures 4d8 points of damage +1 point per caster level (maximum +20).

Since undead are powered by negative energy, this spell deals damage to them instead of curing their wounds. An undead creature can apply spell resistance, and can attempt a Will save to take half damage.

Cure Critical Wounds, Mass
Conjuration (Healing)
Level: Clr 8, Drd 9
Components: V, S

Casting Time: 1 standard action
Range: Close (25 ft. + 5 ft./2 levels)
Target: One creature/level, no two of which can be more than 30 ft. apart
Duration: Instantaneous
Saving Throw: Will half (harmless) or Will half; see text
Spell Resistance: Yes (harmless) or Yes; see text
You channel positive energy to cure 4d8 points of damage +1 point per caster level (maximum +40) in each selected creature.

Like other cure spells, mass cure light wounds deals damage to undead in its area rather than curing them. Each affected undead may attempt a Will save for half damage.

That would seem to follow the pattern already laid down in the Light -> Moderate -> Serious progression.

6d6 for a 60' drop. Really unlucky dice and the party cleric took 34 damage from the drop.

Incidentaly, I've managed to roll falling damage for Aurum and it's a respectable ammount (enough for him to be stunned for a round before being able to stand up and move about again). I'm going to write it down somewhere in case I don't have time to make a post about it before heading out for tonight's gaming session.

Anyway, could you tell us what those potions are please?

I'll get onto the play threads in a minute and try and catch up ...  hope everyone else survived what the local news is calling The Great Flood  :icon_ermm:

Okay, there's been no lightbulb in the computer room since about saturday (or maybe even friday) so I've not been using my computer at night much at the moment.
