Okay, so in order to keep things simple...

Sarian crouches down and rests his back against the wall. He then tries to edge his elsnder frame through the narrow gap 'twixt the rgeat iron ball, the wall and the floor. It is a very painful experience (since he only has 1 rank in escape artist) but he manages to make it through. Once his leg is through the gap it dangles precariously into the pit as he tries to clamber up the pit side of the ball without unsettling it and causing it to roll onto him.

Desparately he manages to balance himself and crawl out of the gap. He then jumps backwards, grasping the rope and swinging back and forth a bit before coming to a stop. Swinging back to the other side of the pit he tries to work out how to get the rope and then get safely back through the large iron ball. The ball would probably fit into the pit if it could be pushed towards him but he doesn't fancy his chances of getting back through that gap. In fact, if the ball got stuck in the top of the pit (as is likely) then he could clamber and over it, untying the rope from the ring in the ceiling as he went.

He's taken 4 point of damage from squashing his body through that narrow gap.

OOC: Does Sarian tell Dekion what he sees and thinks once over there? Ouch did he really have to take damage to get to the other side?

I'm considering making it subdual damage.

Yeah he'll probably call back. If anyone's got a strength spell to boost up the fighter then now'd probably be a good time to use it.

OOC: I figure I need for him to call back and say that is what he wants to do so that Dekion will know it and can try to move the ball. If he can't then I will go ask if anyone can augment him magically. So I can't assume anything until Sarian tells him (U know keeping Mikes knowledge separate from Dekions)

I know what you mean. We'll assume he calls back when he's got his breath back and after this little issue is resolved I can expect the group'll probably want to barricade themselves in somewhere and rest up.

Custom_Hobby

Once dekion hears the call and instructions from Sarian he yells back "Get back and clear of the pit. I am going to try to move the ball into the gap." With the dekion tries to move the ball.

I turn myself round whilst hanging from the rope and jump for the side not being blocked by the ball.

"All clear, start pushing!"

Dekion knows that, since it's a ball, the iron ball will start rolling once he can get it moving. It's it being in the corner and starting it's movement that's going to cause the problem. Positioning himself against the left hand wall he starts hauling away. Muscles strain and he almost thinks he's put a shoulder out of joint before he eventualy feels the ball starting to roll. It tumbles with a resounding clanging crash into the pit and Sarian is able to recover the rope and clamber across safely.

The rope has now been recovered.

Str check 22 against a dc of 13 (10 base +3 circumstance penalty for it being wedged into a corner and needing to be moved sideways without the ability to get behind it and push it in the direction it needed to go.

"Well, that worked." I say, rather proud of our acheavements. I then walk back to the girls, display the rope, bag it and ask, "Well, into the sewers we go?"

Ellion has fallen asleep. She really isn't feeling well...

Finally noticing that Ellion has fallen asleep, Rhana checks to make sure she is still alive ...

Damage suffered: 32/39 (+2 subdual damage)

Yup. One major hit and she's a gonner. Something must be done. That or rest. Ellion has no healing of any kind left. Anyone else?

Looking at Ellions, Rhana finally realises how injured she acutally is.  She gently wakes the injured half-orc and gives her Rhana's remaining Cure Moderate Wounds potion.

"Do you want to try and find someplace to rest? We need to recouperate. Sarian lets shoot an arrow or two into the sewer before anyone tries to go in there."

"Good plan, make sure nothing is near anough to attack us."

I take up a good position to first look through the pipe thing, then I'll take a shot
