I slowly sit up, sounding as bad as if I had a seriouse hangover, "Oww, what happened." I glance down to notice the menagery of darts stuck in me, then turn to the rope were it had slipped through the wax post. Oh, right, that happened to me." I then look up to Rhana standing over me, "I suppose I owe you a thanks (then looking to Ellion) and an apology."

After I catch some breath for a bit, I attempt to drag myself up using the wall. "Will someeon shut that bell up!"

Ellion arches her eyebrows (And what mighty eyebrows they are what with her being halforc and all... there's just so much... MORE to arch  ;))
"The lady of luck has favoured you beyond what you deserve"
"Now might be a good time to dedicate yourdelf in her service"

"I'll look into that at some point," I say with a grin.

"Everyone ready? Lets go around that corner and see what is there." Dekion advances with the rest of the group around the corner. He takes the lead and expects to attacked since there were voices coming from that direction. He is on guard with his shield and scimitar at the ready.

"I suppose." I take a few breaths, take out my bow and follow behind Dekion.

Rounding the corner Dekion and Ellion spy a most unusual sight. Two creatures are biting, kicking, punching and generaly going all out to beat each other into submission. The object of their struggle seems to be a leather bag (which clearly contains a solid object) that has rolled up against the wall out of the way whilst they lay into each other.

A short while ago the two hobgoblins heard the bell begin to toll. They glanced towards the corner, knowing the danger, glared at each other momentarily, each one unwilling to give up the treasure they ahd found, and then they layed into each other once more, each determined to investigate the disturbance once the bell had ceased it's deadly tolling.

How far away are we from the bag, and how far are we from the hobgoblins?

"Should I take a shot whilst they haven't seen us?" I ask to Dekion.

Balgin Stondraeg

Unsurprisingly the two distances are roughly the same. Woah they're a lot closer to this corner than the bell's one. Okay, given the much shorter distance I'd say they're noticing now and getting violent. Battlethread incoming.

Round one

"Hah, hobgoblin!" bellowed Ellion as she reached for her mace.

One hobgoblin, being quick off the mark, steps towards Dekion and draws a short curved blade. It even attempts to strike at him as it draws, obviously mimicking some oriental samurai fighting style. Fortunately for our bold fighter, this creature clearly lacks the training to accomplish such a maneouver and it simply flails wide, hardly even threatening.

Stepping between the two creatures Dekion slices with his sword. His blade caught the armed brute high in the shoulder and it screamed in pain. Before it's mouth had closed his blade sliced across it's throat, taking it's head clean off. Turning to the second hobgoblin, without a moment's hesitation, he rammed the sword straight through it's gut.

An arrow from Sarian flew past his shoulder, missing both Dekion and the hobgoblin. It clattered down the wall into the darkness beyond. Before the curving blade of the warrior's sword could be withdrawn from the creature's innards Ellion charged around the corner and belted it one on the side of it's head with her mace. Snarling the creature attempted to claw it's way up the blade towards it's owner but he simply thrust even deeper and the orcborn woman's mace battered it once more. Completely destroyed the creature hung on the warrior's sword until he placed a foot against it and pushed, hauling back his blade. The corpse slumped to the floor.

Dekion cleans off his blade and looks around, he is looking for the bag they were fighting over. What else is in the corridor?

"Back from the dead trying to shoot here!" I say back to Dekion in a joking manner.

Bodhi

Ellion investigates the bag. She just picks it up and looks inside. No special caution (she's a bit silly like that...)

Keeper

"Careful with that bag, Ellion.  With creatures as disgusting as these, it is probally full of prized dung."
:hal:

"I'm sure there is more than dung having gone past that trap," I say hopefully, slowly pulling out the darts stuck in me.
