You both search for a while and it really is a real wall.

"Hmm, well, that was interesting." I say, turning around and heading back to Dekion and Ellion. "This way?"

"I guess so.", Rhana shrugs and sollows Sarian back to the others and onto the junction.

Dekion helps Sarian walk back to the junction.

Hey let's show some initiative here. We find a grobalax egg, tame a grobalax and in just a few years we can MAKE our own tunnel thorugh the dead end...

The passage continues onwards for about fourty or fifty feet before coming to an abrupt halt at a deep dark pit. On the far side the passage continues, coming to an immediate corner and heading off to the left. The pit is just before the corner. A rope dangles from the cieling above the centre of the pit. The pit is about twelve feet wide and the rope is long enough to swing across it if someone wanted to reach out and haul it in.

OOC: Is Rhana's Spider Climb still active?  If so, she'd like to use the walls to walk to the other side.

Dekion stands close enough to look down and see the bottom of the pit. He also looks at all the walls, the floor and ceiling to see if he notices anything. "This is probably a trap."

OOC: He takes 20 to do spot & search checks.

The cieling is hidden in darkness (there isn't a glowing crystal near enough to light it up very well). The walls are the usual rough hewn fair you have come to expect whilst within the dungeon and, given the poor illumination (think sub standard 80's flourescent lighting scattered very infrequently about) the bottom of the pit's not very visible either.

What's the duration on spider climb, ten per? Yeah I think it should still be going (but not for too much longer). If it's one per then it might not still be going.

"I don't think that rope will hold us, the trap is probably the false rope so you fall into the pit. Rhana, could you tie our rope to wherever you can on the cealing, preferably avoiding how the current one is tied up there, but use it if you have to." I say, rumaging in my backpack, then handing her the rope.

"Why don't we try and get some of the light crystals from the areas we already passed through. We could use them to search for traps and toss into pits"

What's the duration on spider climb, ten per? Yeah I think it should still be going (but not for too much longer). If it's one per then it might not still be going.

It's ten per, she can climb up and take a look along the other side.

On the other side of the pit Rhana turns left and looks down the long corridor stretching off into the darkness. She can see one door on the left hand wall and maybe another one further along the same wall (but it's so dark there that only her keen elf inherited sight reveals it to her, most humans wouldn't make it out untill it got closer).

Turning back, at the other's request, she climbs sprightly up the wall to examine the rope which turns out to be tied to an iron ring in the cieling. She doesn't notice anything odd or unusual about the rope (and yes, that did include a search roll).
