"No problem.  I just need a direction for them to run to/from.  Do you think they'll run from or run towards and attack it?"

Balgin? Are there any corridors we can see going of the cavern that the trogs are in? Apart from the bridge across the chasm?

Basicaly, no. Sorry for not updating any of my games since the weekend but the last few days have been prettyyu buisy for me.

Her

(hey I didn't make these pregens okay, I just corrected some errors on their character sheets (like both the human characters missing the human bonus feat on every version of their character sheets at different levels))

PaulH

Hi

Definitely not complaining - just referring to saying "poking it with a big stick"....., in this case, my mace!  ;)

Cheers

Keeper

"The noise idea is a good one, but there doesn't appear any direction we could to distract them away from us.  If you gentlefolk want to fight your way through, that is fine with me, but unless there are any other ideas, I will be making myself invisible and walking past them.  Anyone who wants to join me, just ask in the next minute or so."

Ellion will accept Invis if it's offered, but that alone won't keep us quiet. Don't forget the Trog's stench.

Also there's the question of enemies behind us if things go wrong. But I'll gowith party consensus...

Don't forget the Trog's stench.

What stench? In the world of Titan Troglodytes do not stink particularly more than most other monsters. They also aren't a type of lizardman. They're called troglodytes because nobody can understand their society :p.

Keeper

"Right, I'm going to make us all invisible one at a time - that's just the way it works.  As soon as you're invisible, I want you to start sneaking past the trogs on your own, but we'll all be keeping an eye out for everyone and we'll meet up say fifty or sixy feet down the passage on the far side.  The invisibility doesn't last forever, so I don't want people wasting time standing around waiting for me to cast spells."

"If anything does go wrong, try and sneak or fight your way to the corridor at the far side of the cavern, so that they can't mob us as easily."

"Everyone ready?  Good.  Then I'll start with Sarian, as you seem to be the most able to sneak.  Apart from that bell thing, earlier, of course."

Rhana casts her spell on Sarian and he sneaks off, making some comment about probably being able to avoid the crowd without her spell, but thankful for the surety of it. Ellion and Dekion are next. Stumbling invisbly, fearing that every movement could draw attention to their armoured presence. However the trogs merely continue to yammer and dance about their stattue, oblivious to what small sounds the others may bring.

Rhana then weaves her magicks upon Throm. He protests furiously for a moment and then realises that the dancing has stopped.

"Hah hah hah hah hah," booms Throm, "you can't see me!"

Terrified the troglodytes scatter, scampering to the corners of the cavern. Throm's booming laughter mocks their flight. They then begin to feerfuly peer at the stattue. Never before has it spoken to them. eventualy they approach and begin to bow down to it. Chuckling heartily Throm begins to demand that they bring him all their treasure, and food, and drink, and hold a feast in his honour.

Clearly they don't understand a word he's saying. They turn to one another, ask questions in that strange babbling tongue of theris. Meanwhile Rhana has finished laughing enough to conceal herself from sight and pass, unseen, through the cavern. She eventualy locates the others by the sound of their own guffawing as, behind her, Throm tires of the poor communication and begins to angrily demand his tribute. "Where are the gifts I called for?" he demands angrily.

The poor little troglodytes bow down and yammer and squawk and gabble in abbeisance. With a gruff curse in his own native tongue the barbarian stomps over to the bridge, where the rest of the party stand, and prepares to cross it.

Beneath the bridge is a natural chasm, through which a fast flowing underground stream hurtles at a fearsome speed. On the far side of the bridge is a sturdy looking door with an iron lock.

Does anyone have an iron key? I believe it was in the box with the sapphire in the sewage pipe but I can't remember who took it. I'm fairly sure someone's got it 'though.

After some searching through pockets the correct key is produced and the door is opened, a fact of which the troglodytes remain oblivious.

I'll detail the tunnel beyond in my next post as there's a picture to add and I thought people might want to respond to Throm's little game. In which case I'll move the latter part of this post into the next one.

PaulH

Ellion will dig her nails into her palm to help her concentrate on not laughing, then follows across the bridge.

Beyond the door a hallway extends into the darkness. Soon it rounds a corner and a strange sight comes into view. A wiley looking old codger crouches beside a basket, suspended from a hole in the roof by ropes. Up[on spying the party he cackles and beckons them to approach.

"Wait bold travellers, do not strike me down. I am no threat, no danger to you. I am simply here to help."

Keeper

"The Baron Sukumvit does not seem to have been in the habit of adding many helpful things to this dungeon.  In what way do you think you can be of assistance to us?" Rhana demands.
