Prepare to enter Deathtrap Dungeon

"Do the rest of you think taking the lights is a good idea?"

"Good idea - its pretty dark down there for those of you without Elvish eyes.  This rope looks pretty secure to me."

As well as checking the rope she bends down (I guess the iron ring is on the floor, at her feet, from her persective, given that she's using spider climb) and gives the iron ring a good tug.

Assuming that it is secure, she'll venture slowly down the wall to see what is in the pit.

"So, who wants to go first?"

"Rhana do you think you can get some of those lights?"

"Rhana do you think you can get some of those lights?"

Good idea. They're in the cieling which is 12' up.

[Keeper]

"I can try."  Rhana tries to get a couple of the lights, after she's tried the iron ring for security.

How does it go Balgin?

Rhana walks to the second closest light gem in an area they've explored so far and begins digging at it with her knife. As it comes lose it's light fades and the enchantment is broken.

Yeah, there's even a couple of sentences, maybe even a paragraph, at the beginning of the adventure explaining that the light gems won't work if they're taken out of the sockets, and the same goes for taking the socket out of the wall :(.

"Well at least we tried." Dekion shrugs and looks back up at Rhana "What did you see at the bottom of the pit." OOC: Balgin you forgot tot tell us/her what she saw at the bottom of the pit when she went down there before trying to steal the lights. "So any idea about how to get across?"

"Well, I see the rope. We could aways just jump it and ignore the rope...

"I wonder if there is a pressure plate on the other side... everyone get back a bit and get down." Dekion waitis until everyone compies and takes out the battle axe. He heaves it over to the other end to see if something hitting the floor triggers a trap. He quicly gets down and brings his shield up to cover himself.

When the axe lands it skids a bit but that's about it :).

"Ok at least we checked for that."

"so... jump it?"

Returning to the group Rhana remembers something vaguely visible at the bottom of the pit (which I would've mentioned earlier if some guys hadn't been a little bit impatient and tried to move the action on while I was in bed, asleep :p). She feels inclined to head on down and check it out while her spell still lasts (as there's a lot less climbing left than there was before they came across this simple pit).
