Yep. If you check that floorplans link I posted, I opened up the four dungeon floorplans pdfs. Then I pressed the Print Screen key. Next I opened up paint and pasted stuff in. Then I drag selected the appropriate chunks, copied & pasted them into another blank Paint pic and dragged them around and flipped and turned them 'till it looked right. Then I shrank it down to 60% size and added the notes in. I can't remember if it's 60, 65 or 70% shrink that works best on those pdfs for online floorplan sizes but I've got it written down somwehere. Just tested, looks like 65%'s right (60's a bit too small).

The battlemaps will look similar (and be updated periodicaly depending on what people do).

As we had back to the group Dekion looks back to see if the thing that was hanging is still in the same place. He also looks to see if there are any hidden doors or traps along the way. When they get back Dekion asks Sarian "has anyone tried the door?"

Rhana follows the others, glad that she hung back, well, this time, anyway.

If that cloud of spores is still floating about, she is not going to walk through it!

"No, but I'll check it now."

I walk to the door, watching the floor carefully for any different panels (traps), trip wires, footprints and anything else there may be. If I make it to the door safely and noticing nothing, then I'll search the door. Which way does it look like it opens?

The cloud of spores has settled so Rhana is able to catch up with the others.

Sarian finds nothing unusual, there are too many footprints from multiple creatures here to track the man who came this way. He can, however, hear movement around the corner up ahead. The door is safe and clearly opens inwards.

"Ok so do we check through the door or go around the corner? I vote for the door" Dekion also looks around to see if there is anything unusual that might happen if the door is opened (checking the floor, opposing wall, ceiling, etc).

"Well, let's check both"

I open the door, sword in hand

"Here we go." Dekion stays close to Rhana (to provide a little exrtra cover) with shield and sword at the ready.

OOC: Just a standing post, Dekion will always be on guard and paying extra attention to when we are opening doors, chests, etc.

The door opens into a small room. Fortunately Sarian has good reflexes as the door opens inwards onto a pit. The first half of the floor is a pit eight feet wide and approximately thirty feet deep.

Opposite the pit is a bundle of rope hanging on a hook on the wall (there's about10' floor on the other side).

Erratum, the door has a sliding metal panel in it which you could've opened and looked through, seen the rope and then pushed the door open and walked right into thin air). I forgot to mention that. Since opening a door inwards involves some ammount of leaning anyway you're lucky the guy with a good sense of balance gave it a push and let go once he saw the lack of floor to stand upon :).

"We should probably take every bit of equiptment we can get, who knows, maybe this is necessary later on"

I put away my sword and open the door fully (without falling into the hole) so that it doesn't swing back closed, move back as far as possible to the wall, and take a running jump over the pit.

"Is there a way for any of us to make it in there without winding up in the pit?" Dekion looks through the now open door to see what else he can see on the other side. How tall and thick is the door?

With the short run up Sarian easily leaps the pit. Reaching up for the rope he grasps it firmly and removes it from the wall. As he turns to return something comes round the corner!

A pair of orcs!

Round 1:

As the orcs advance swinging their morningstars, Sarian is still examining the rope he gathered from the hook on the wall. Ellion grunts out a prayer to the goddess of luck and the assembled company feel encouraged, brave, cnfident, ready to take on the world (or at least a veryu little bit of it anyway :p).

Rhana aims her wand and speaks words of power. Three small bolts of blue energy emerge from the wand and "dart" towards the orcs, two striking the foremost who staggers and almost falls, with the third streaking past him to strike his companion. That being done she backed off down the hall calling out "it's all yours guys."

The orcs swing their great spiekd weapons, chains flailing all over the place and spiked iron balls smash into Dekion's shield and shoulder plates. One of the blows catches his shield at an angle, driving it up against the nerves of his arm and causing him some discomfort. Angered he lashes out with his great curved sword cutting most of the way through one orc's midriff. The creature looks at him stupidly as it's life's blood gushes out onto the floor. With an expression almost akin to laughter, Dekion draws his sword from it's guts, sweeping it wide and catching the other orc on the side of the head, just above it's ear and knocking it off balance. Raising his blade he slices down severing it's foul head at the neck.

Both the orcs are dead.

A quick search Proves that yes, each orc was wearing orcish heavy armour (counts as splint) and bore a morningstar. One of them also had  asingle gold piece.

Well done guys, they were both 3rd level fighters (emphasis on the were :)).

"Thank you for your aid Ellion." While the group readies itself Dekion performs a more thorough search of the orks. While doing so he asks "can any benefit from this armor?" Once he is finished he returns to the group and falls back to second in line constantly on guard for anything and everything. "If it is ok with the rest of you I think it is best if Sarian is fisrt, since he has the best chance of finding a trap. If an enemy appears I will gladly step up so the rest of you can set up a plan of attack."

If Sarian is not back yet he offers to help get him back over however he can.
