Descending into the pit once more she sifts through the various bones and rotting cloth & leather that has built up at the bottom of the pit during the last few years. After a minute or so she finds what she was looking for, a spherical orb carved from a single blood red ruby. Bearing ti up the top (either concealed or proudly displayed) she vaguely considers if she should cross the pit to catch anyone who jumps should their leap fall just short or watch them do it for a laugh.

"Well that seems to be one gemstone, guys.  I don't know how many of these we need."  Rhana holds the gem up to show the others (who are on the other side of the pit) before tucking it into her belt pouch and then coming down off the wall onto the corridor on the far side of the pit.

"You can jump if you want guys, but I just checked the iron ring that is holding the rope up, and it was sound.  Depends if you trust the rope itself, I suppose" she grims and winks.  Then she picks up Dekion's axe, ready to hand it back as soon as he is across.

Somehow vaguely feeling a sort of "sister solidarity" Ellion grabs the rope and swings across
(hopefully... Really it's because she hasn't done much anything now for a while)

Rhana reaches out to help Ellion land safely.

Girls together and all that ... ;)

Unfortunately Rhana clearly did not examine the rope thoroughly enough (bad search roll earlier) as she failed to spot that, a short distance below the ring, someone had cut halfway through the rope with a dagger (quite possibly the ninja did it when he found someone else had used the rope to cross the pit).

So as she swings the rope snaps under the strain and sends her plummeting into the pit below! Rhana reaches out to catch her companion but her fingers grasp only air as Ellion's hand disappears into the shadows below

She falls 30' and suffers 10 real damage and 2 subdual damage.

Rhana walks down the wall of the pit to help Ellion out again.

"Sorry about that Ellion.  It seemed safe when I checked it! Are you badly injured?"

Dekion looks down into the pit and calls over to Sarian "please pass me the rope, we need to get her out of there. Rhana if you can still use your spell please tie this up there so we can get across."

"Wow, a trap I didn't set off!" I say, half worried for Ellion, half glad for my own safety.

Rhana has the rope

After helping Ellion out of the pit (on the far side!), Rhana will tie our rope to the iron ring, before coming down again on the far side - then she'll no longer trust the spell :)

"Oh ok, Rhana has the rope. Lets get over there so we can keep moving."

Once the rope is secure I'll make sure the two girls are out of the way and take the jump.
