Prepare to enter Deathtrap Dungeon

Ellion checks if it is possible to get the barbarian loose somehow and prepare him for a decent burial, trusting in  Dekion and Sarian to take care of the examining bit.

I first search the floor for anymore spiked boards, then will search through all of the rubbish for anything of use. Then fianly will take the goblet and put it in my backpack

Dekion also searches for anything he can find in the rubbish. He stays slow and cautious (1/4 movement), He uses his sword to carefully clear a path ahead of him and to move things without being close to them. While he is doing the search he notices Ellion and asks "would you like some help?" Before Sarion takes the goblet Dekion asks "have any of you seen anything like that before?"

"Not that I can remember, but we should take it none the less, we were stripped of just about everything so we will nead anything of any use." I glance to the barbarian,"well, 8 left I suppose. Didn't both of the barbarians have axes at the entrance to this dungeon? That may also prove usefull. He does teach us to be weary, anything can have traps guarding it, and so far, nothing has been friendly." I trail off into thoughts of the fungi thing, pit and now this.

"Good idea, we should scavenge as much as possible, and also remember to look for secret doors as well as traps.

[Keeper]

Rhana is staying in the corridor, keeping an eye out for any more wandering monsters, leaving the others to search the room.

[Bodhi]

"Yes Dekion, help would be apreciated. It's just not right leaving him hanging like that. We should get him out once this is finished, tell his relatives..."
When Eyolas reaches out for the goblet Ellion shouts "HOLD!!!"
(Maybe it's messing up the thread but surely we can't just grab it?)
"Check out its contents first."

We need to keep your character alive, eyeolas, so that he can die saving the rest of us deeper in the dungeon ;)

"Are you guys OK in there?  Any problems?"

"None so far Rhana. Would you mind asking Milano to scout a little for us? Just call us if you need us." Dekion finishes his search and helps Ellion with the body.

[Keeper]

"Good idea, will do".

Rhana sends Milano ahead of us, as before, to see what might be ahead.  As she sends him on his way, she readies her wand, just in case.

Sarian spends quite a long time checking the floor for more trasps, mostly sweeping aside clutter but in a careful way so as to not upset anything. He does not find any more traps on the floor.

Meanwhile Dekion takes a look at the barbarian who has a battle axe hanging loosely from his hand (his dead fingers and the boards supporting it enough to prevent it from toppling to the floor). Sarian and Ellion both observe an odd potion shaped bulge tucked into the back of his loincloth (Dekion's search roll was a shockingly low 5).

Ellion believes the body could be removed form the spikes but it'd be a slow and delicate task since those spikes are a good two feet long.

Standing over the goblet both Dekion and Sarian can see that it is filled with red liquid. Searching the goblet and the table Sarian believes it to be safe (disgustingly he failed the search check by 1). As he lifts the goblet from the siwtch it rests upon a vicious looking dart shoots out at him and grazes his armour. As he starts in surprise most of the red liquid spilsl from the cup and splatters across the floor. Sniffing it, and dipping his finger in it, he is disgusted to discover that it is, in fact, only coloured water. The cup itself, however, weighs 2lb and is worth around 30gp by his reckoning.

Plucking the dart from his leg armour Sarian observes it was coated with a foul venom. He has had a lucky escape. That was a nasty poison. Initial effect: 3d6 damage, secondary effect: 3d6 damage.

Ellion looks at Sarian getting hit by a poisoned dart and spilling the contents of the goblet:
" Are you done yet?" she asks with a wry smile.
"Much as it grieves me I guess we'll have to let the poor man hang. Can't get him down."
She swiftly takes the potion behind his loincloth and opens it
"No use letting this go to waste though." She sniffs it's contents (don't know if she can make out what it is. If not she'll go to Rhana and ask what she makes of it)

Ellion can tell that it's a magic potion, she's pretty sure it's some kind of healing potion too but beyond that she hasn't a clue.
