Bad day at work!

Had to drink tea, watch part of a film till I felt board, read some of my book and then had a nap on the train because  there was nobody in 1st class on the way down.  :tantrum: :tantrum: :tantrum: :tantrum: :tantrum: :tantrum:

BAD day at work!!!

As you know I work with kids who have problems with aggresions and stuff. Yesterday a kid tried to throw a huge rock through a window. I couldn't allow that to happen so stepped up, grabbed his wrist and removed the rock.
A few hours later the kids mother calls and is stark raving mad apparently because I have physically abused her kid.

It probably won't result in anything (the mother is none to mentally stable either) but I feel very bad about it. I'm as most of you know a very nonviolent and pacifistic person and to be accused of something that is completely and utterly foreign to my nature feels terrible. It hasn't happened before despite the fact that I've worked with kids like these for three years now.

Mixed feelings... in my day at school I would have had a good talking too and parents called at that age.

they still allowed corporal punishment too. but kids with problems didn't get treated as well.

I don't know which is best.

I'm very very opposed to corporeal punishment. Only time when any physical contact of an aggresive nature is called for is when you need to disarm someone to protect people or property as far as I'm concerned. Which was the case here. And then the physical contact should be kept to the absolute minimum, which was also the case here. Only reason I grabbed his wrist at the same time as grabbing the stone instead of grabbing the stone directly was to allow for better control of the situation so as to avoid an uncontrolled falling/throwing of the stone hurting either the kid or me.
I should also add that I talked calmly all the while and was by no means agitated or shouting and that similar situations occur practically daily in my line of work.

What is wrong with Dark Sword?

I love Dark Sword's minis - with the odd exception, they are what they try to be - top quality miniatures at a slightly premium price.  What I don't get is why, when they advertise their new stuff, like this recent link on PMT TMP:  http://theminiaturespage.com/news/725602/  do they get their excellent minis painted by people that make them look like old-style flats? :tantrum:

Every sincle picture on that page could either be a regular round, or an old style flat!! No exceptions!! :tantrum:

Granted, the paintwork is also excellent, but clearly done by someone used to working in a 2D medium - so much so that they have lost the 3D feel to the miniatures!!! :tantrum:

AARRGGHHH!  I moved my site over to a new server, and it worked incredibly well for about 3 weeks, then suddenly it is crud*!  :tantrum:  I called their tech support and got a lamer on the line, absolutely useless.  Gotta find a decent server!  :tantrum:

Im trying to negotiate the lease so i can start my business and the fracking landlord will sink it before it can start with pure greed.

Im going to have to get a buyers agent ( more money) so we can get the best deal.

I stil havent got a company made by my lawyer and accountant, so i feel hamstrung. They want me to commit to the lease but they will fracking hamsstring me financially before i can even look at the lease..

All the wait and build up to a big final finish and it pants big time.
When did Jackson start having visions and I thought the assended were not allowed to interfear.
It was a bit jumpy, hurried and seemed to be done quick to get the ending out of the way.
I hope the third film is better than this one.   :icon_neutral:
