If the others join him he will huddle them together to privately to discuss events

"Brothers it appears we are locked in as i mentioned before. We need to escape obviously. From what i have gathered, there appears to be only two possible routes. The door the doctor locked and the grating which is likely to be an offense on the senses. "  Id suggest then to save time and effort, Will works on the main door, and Lunk opens the grate and look for a passeway there. Sewers are a good and overlooked escape route"

Lunk looks this way and that, trapped??!!  like a rat??!!  I gotta get outta here!!!

Gibs notices Lunk looking a bit shaky and seems a bit restless "Er.. hey, is everything ok here?" starts breathing slightly faster "You're asking all these questions and now this guy's looking all worried.."

Olothros looks to see if Will heard him over by the door. If he didn't then he repeats the message and then heads over to Gauis. Olothros stands so that he can still watch the the patients while the group speaks. Olothros stops and thinks about Komodo for a second.

OOC: Does Komodo fit under the door that will was trying to open? Did will get the door open?

"I was thinking about seeing if Lunk can lift the grate."

OOC: There is no way Komodo can fit under the door. Bodhi hasn't said he was going to open the door yet.

Gibs is starting to look worried; Pym says "So what's going on? Are we trapped in here then?" Gibs is beginning to look terrified.

Olothros whispers to Gaius "I think you need to calm the masses." Olothros walks over to Lunk puts a hand on the barbarians shoulder and says in a low voice "relax big guy. We are not trapped, Will opened this lock last night and can do it again now. We also have another way out. We just needed to plan what we are doing next and how. everything is fine."

Lunk feels a bit better at Orthy's assurance.  "Oh, we're okay.  I'm just used to the big open sky.  I get a little funny inside."  His smile slowly returns, and he starts humming that diddy about the open range and antelope and other such critters...

Gaius addresses the inmates

" ah i believe i may have over reacted. I was surprised to see that the doctor closed the door, but of course! The fireplace's heat must be kept to this room! I see i was foolish to doubt our friend Dr Answorth. He has obviously gone on an errand and closed the door to preserve the heat for us.. How considerate of him"

Gaius keeps attempting to calm the inmates, but also tells lunk to work on the grating privately

Lunk saunters over to the tent, looks sheepishly over his shoulder, and goes inside, closing the flap.

He tries to lift the grate.  If theres any noise, he shouts, "xcuse me!"

Did that nosy elf think I was gonna open the door with him watching? Let of trade secrets to someone like him? Well I'm glad he's gone

OOC: Will attempts to pick the lock open.
If he succeeds he will try to push the door just enough to check if it's blocked. No more than that.

Olothros takes out a meal from his Pack and Offers it to the patients to further distract them. "Is anyone else hungry?"

Lunk keeps struggling with the grate (take 10?)

If this is what it takes to rescue those poor villagers, I'll dive into that filth and pull them out myself!!  I must protect the innocent and champion the righteous!!

Gaius' attempt to calm things down is to no avail as Gibs suddenly starts screaming "Oh sweet Yondalla! Not the mouths!". In contrast to his amiable relaxed demeanour before, now he looks terrified beyond reason, darting his head around all over the room in total horror.

At the same time, with great effort, Lunk prises forth the grating, and is assailed by the smell of a sewer.

Will scrabbles at the lock but fails to hit its sweet spot. OOC: Lock DC 20; OL result 16.

Olothoros' kind offer of food is drowned out by Gibs' ranting...

"Ah, thats much better" sighs Lunk, with a wink, and he siddles up to Gaius, whispers "I got the grate open! we go in?"

Gaius looks at lunk " yes brother. can you go in and scout ahead. We should calm these inmates down first, i fear that i may have alarmed them"

Gaius attempts further reasoning with gibs.
