Olothros doesn't touch his food right away. He doesn't part from his items either. Doctor Asworth seems to have captures his interest, "so when was the last time you heard from them?" He listens to see if he can hear anything else in the background. Olothros also lets Komodo wander around to see what feelings he gets back from him.

The well-groomed young doctor has a bit of a think, "Well, last month I suppose in Jacob's case. I've never met Larion but he did talk about him a bit." A cloud passes over his kindly face "This is awful, no word at all from either of them. Do you have any plans as to where to look? My apologies, please do eat up, you must be starving"

The soup does smell very inviting, and Lunk doesn't seem to have keeled over yet despite having devoured most of it. Komodo is content just to sit with Olothoros and warm up, having nearly frozen to death outside.

Olothros has that inquisitive look again and turns toward Doctor Asworth, "after coming all this way will you show us around?"

Will removes his winter clothing but keeps the rest of the stuff on. After having watched Lunk intently for a few minutes he cautioysly starts sniffing the soup then shrugs and eats it all.
Not having the patience to listen to the conversation he sidles up to the door (to the right on the map at the shorter wall) and feels it surreptiously to see if it's locked. He tries to do this without getting noticed by the doctor.

The group presents an entertaining sight; Lunk and Will tucking into soup whilst Gaius and Olothoros are talking to the doctor. While Doctor Asworth is chatting to the priest and wizard, Will carefully saunters over to the door in the right hand wall. OOC: Spot check of 9; beaten by Move Silently check of 13 It doesn't seem to be locked.

Doctor Asworth seems initially amused by Olothoros' request to look round "Well, there's nothing much to see I'm afraid except for the few inmates we have. And we are not one of those institutions that parades the insane for others' amusement. Your presence would probably also worry them, so I wouldn't be happy with anyone upsetting them. Would you two gentleman like some more?" He asks the last question of Lunk and then notices Will isn't there, he turns to see you at the door, "Ah that's the pantry, please don't open the door, we keep it cold to help preserve the food,"

Turning back to Gaius and Olthoros he says "And please, I'm keeping you from eating."

Lunk shucks off his winter gear and stuffs it into his pack.  Smiles and nods towards the conversation and resumes whoofing down the yummy soup.

Hes very hospitable, and very eager for us to eat... almost too eager, keeps insisting. Hes also holding something back

Gaius casts purify food and drink while acting like it is a blessing. After casting the spell he eats the now purified food.

I dont trust this fellow, why would he be holding back about Jacob? Something is not right here

"This is excellent soup, my compliments doctor, your cook is quite the master"

"I hate to be imposing, but do you think we could perhaps lodge here before we search the surrounding area for jacob. The blizzard outside does make the prospect of picking up a trail very difficult at the moment!"

[Fabian]

Dr Asworth smiles again "The cook is me, so I'll pass on your thanks" he chuckles amiably "Of course you can stay here, I wouldn't dream of letting you back out into that storm. You may have the use of the custodians' rooms"  (he indicates the two doors on the south wall) "I haven't had any custodians here for some months now as we've so few inmates. Hold on one moment and I'll get you some clean blankets. Before I do that let's get something for your feet." He places 4 stones on the hearth to heat up.

"Shan't be a moment!" he says as he goes to the door down the north-west corridor.

"Will, I trust that you will not under any circumstances be caught looking in that pantry will you? " Gaius says, winking at Will. " I would not accept the thought of you being CAUGHT doing something as discourteous as snooping where you shouldn't, no matter how tempting it must seem to look in that pantry"

[Bodhi]

Snooping priest! That ruined every chance of foolowing the good doctor! well nothing for it...

Will hangs his head "S...s...sorry Gaius, just g...g...getting a bit restless that's all..."
"C..can I check the custodians rooms? J...j...just to be safe." Will walks over and checks one of the doors not waiting for a reply.

I'll kill that bloody priest, I swear one of those days I'll kill him...

Inside Will is teeming with anger of having had the chance to follow the doctor spoiled but he doesn't show it.

Doctor Asworth has now left the room. Looking around the room you are in now, it is a combination kitchen and dining room. The pot of soup bubbles above the hot coals of the hearth in the northwest wall, and clean dishes are stacked on the counters. A table with four chairs dominates the center of the room (which is where you are now).

*sigh* Is Will completely missing my hints? I was sure reverse psychology would work on him.... hes actually taking me literally again... ASACIMOV! That bloody streethood ALWAYS does the opposite of everything I want



I swear one of these days that ruffian will be the death of me!

OOC: Nudge nudge  :icon_wink: :Will walks over and checks one of the doors (to the custodians rooms) not waiting for a reply. Oh,if it's unlocked he opens itto take a peek inside while NOT entering the room

Will looks inside one of the rooms; it appears to be, as the doctor said, a bedchamber for a member of the asylum staff. A neatly made bed, night table, and wardrobe comprise the furnishings, and an unadorned rug completes the decor.

Will shuts the door and sits down at the table to wait for the doctor. He gets his swordout and hides it under the table ready to grab in a seconds notice, then helps himself to some more soup and gets his fill.
"Hey Lunk! G..g...good food aint it?"
