Lunk knods enthusiastically, as he deftly shovels soup in his mouth with one hand and passes Will his wine sack with the other

Gaius continues to eat the soup. He listens for the sound of whether the doctor is returning.

" Olothros, what do you make of our host? I sense he is holding something back. " Gaius pauses
" I dont want to seem suspicious, but he was a little too eager to help complete strangers.. think about it, we are well armed. Lunk and Will , no offense brothers, dont inspire trust in the dark of night, let alone in a blizzard. What do you guys think? "
" Will, your particular talents might be of use in exploring our lodgings tonight.... "

OOC Giaus listens for the doctors return before discreetly conferring with the others

After Will's checking of the room, Lunk's food shovelling and Gaius' hurried airing of his suspicions, Dr Asworth returns with some blankets, "Here we are, gentlemen, I hope these will be alright. Now," he opens one of the room doors, "you can see they're quite well-appointed, nothing but the best accommodation!" he says with good humour, "Obviously I'll leave it up to you to decide on sleeping arrangements. And please be careful lifting the stones off the hearth, do use one of the cloths around. Can I help you in any other way at all?" He yawns "Oh dear, excuse me."

The questions we should be asking are these:
Does it have dungeons?
Does it have dragons?
Does it have transients who kill things for money?  Do you roll a d20?

"They are more than adequate good doctor, thank you again for your hospitality"
Gaius yawns,
"well i might retire, this cleric needs his rest after such a hard days ride"

Gaius picks up his equipment and weapons and retires to bottom right custodian room waiting for one of the others to join him.

"YAAAAAAAAAAWWWWWWWWWWWNNNNNNNNNNNNN"  Lunk yawns loud and stretches big; gathers up his gear and curls up on the floor in front of the (cooking?) fire to get some sleep.

Will picks all his belongings up and joins Gaius in "his" room.

OOC: Will finds it convenient to play along with Gaius' "reform" plans for him as long as it doesn't disturb his activities. Hence he will act the obedient protege' when possible. So it would be fitting for him to share rooms with Gaius.

Olothros looks at lunck by the fire and thinks he has the right idea. He take Kodo out and suggests he head over there to warm up. "I'll be right back Lunk, I'm going to talk to the Gaius and Will. I'm going to leave Komodo over here to warm up." Before he sets komodo down he brings him close to his face and wispers, "be mindful of anyone approaching."

Olothros walks over to the room where Will and Gaius are. Once he gets there he listens and looks to see if anyone else is around and says "I am not sure but our host is up to something. I have a potion of invisibility" he mentions as his gaze shifts over to will. "Will I am interested in what he is hiding and what else is going on here. Are you willing to do some snooping ahead for all of us? I figure you have the best chance of not being heard and I can cover you not being seen. What do you guys think?"

OOC: If will is willing to do it. I change into my dry clothes and lay out my wet clothing to dry by the fire by Lunk. I will also pull out my spell book and study my spells while we wait for him to return.

Elves! Allways finding someone else to their dirty work for them!

Will looks with disgust at the elf
"It's n...n...not as if I hadn't had that thought myself mr knowitall pointy eared dandyboy. Y...y...you're not the ONLY one with brains here you know"
Will heaves a sigh
"W...w...well the potion will be useful I guess. How long does it last for? I s'pose it's best we wait a couple of hours until our host is firmly asleep."

OOC: Unless something else happens Will will set of on his little adventure in two hours time.

As Lunk settles down and everyone goes to their rooms, but before Olothoros devises his cunning plan, Doctor Asworth bids everyone good night and retires to the room past the north east door.

Olothoros then proceeds as described above.

Does it have dragons?
Does it have transients who kill things for money?  Do you roll a d20?

The NERVE! "Being that you were noticed the last time by the doctor I thought I would help our cause and offer you the potion. Lets not act like we are adversaries here, we have a common goal" He looks away momentarily in disgust and turns to Gaius and says "I agree that we should wait a while and make them believe we are sleeping. What do you say?"

And now he talks to the priest... about what I'M gonna do! Oh Yeah, sure priests know EVERYTHING about stealthy activities don't they? It's not as if I'm the guy taking the risks and the guy knowing these things

Will shoots murderous glances at the back of Olothoros but remains quiet.

OOC: For the stealthy activities required I'll bring: Shortsword, one bag of caltrops and a potion of darkvision (won't conflict with the potion of invisibility will it?) and nothing else.
I'll ditch the studded leathers as well. I'll get all my belongings and put them in the room with Gaius. Is there anyway we can reach the horses (who has taken care of them by the way? I think we all forgot to mention where we put them. I hope they're not outside freezing to death in the blizzard?) and get our equipment on them as well? In that case I'd rather do that before venturing out so I have everything gathered in the room

OOC: To your knowledge the darkvision potion won't conflict with the invisibility one. But... there's still a big fire as well as lamps in the kitchen/dining area, so you could wait to drink that? The horses were stabled in a stable block in a bit of DM narration, and it would be difficult to get to them as the storm is still raging.

Will gets ready to have a look round the asylum whilst Lunk settles down to sleep in the kitchen. Olothoros goes to confer with Gaius and it seems has a room to himself, the lucky elf.

"B..blasted" Will mutters to himself as he remembers that he left the calrops with the horses out of reach in the blizzard.(OOC: So he can't take them along...)He cautiously advances through the room taking care not to wake Lunk sleeping soundly by the fire. Will starts out by examining both the doors on the north kitchen wall.

OOC: Will checks the doors for the following: 1. Check if they're locked 2. Check for traps 3. Listening at the doors. He will not open any of the doors and he has not yet downed any of the potions as he is still in the kitchen. You can assume during the whole nightly excursion that he's attempting to move as silently as possible. Make checks as often as you feel necessary. Did he get any information on how long the invisibility potion would last by the way?

OOC: The inivisibility potion will last a minimum of 3 minutes.

Creeping past Lunk, snoring after your trip and soup, Will tests the left northern door. It's not locked. Doesn't seem to be trapped either. You can't hear anything behind it. Doctor Asworth went into the right northern door. You can't hear anything behind that one either. Both doors (and in fact all the doors in this room) are made of thick oak with iron hinges.

Does it have dungeons?
Does it have dragons?
Does it have transients who kill things for money?  Do you roll a d20?
