Aurum listens for a reply from his brother and heads in that direction.

Opening the kitchen door, Rogan goes out to meet them quickly.  He motions grimly at the pile of corpses.
"All the dead came to life," he says.  "I've accounted for around half, but we need to make sure Alarian, Naedath and the Abbot are safe before we send the others back to their long sleep."
He begins to move back inside at a quick pace, heading for the stairs.
"Did you find anything interesting?"

Aurum goes over what they did quickly with him. "Lets find the others." Aurum rushes to the second floor.

Mr Teufel

We should put these poor souls into the ground where they belong!

Keeper

"Let us secure the living first and then we can attend to the dead."

Aurum lets a rare smile creep across his face "Or we can attend to the dead on the way to the living!"

Heading for the stairs Aurum is assailed by a the burnt out shell of a trowel wielding acolyte as he passes the garden. Acolyte Werrin has clearly returned to the place of his demise (either through a great familiarity with it or due to some emotional attachment to his death). As the dwarf passes the garden's entrance Werrin lurches out towards him, clutching the trowel as a dagger and stabbing down with it fruitlessly.

Round 1:

Raoul draws his sword and, rushing forwards, rams it point first into the corpse's chest.  The creature sags, supported by his blade. Puffing with exertion, he leans heavily, pushing it sideways towards the doorpost. Aurum raises his axe and with a sickening thunk sinks it into the neck of brother Werrin, and the doorpost beyond. The light goes out of his eyes and they cloud over once more. Once both blades are withdrawn he slumps to the ground, clearly the foul magicks have been effectively cast forth from this empty shell.

Keeper

"What unplesant magicks are at work here that we have to slay those already dead? Those whose life was dedicated to a far purer cause?"

Aurum continues to head for the stairs.

Aurum makes it safely to the top of the stairs with the others close behind him. Once he reaches the top he knows that turning right will lead him to the abbot's room.

Aurum takes a quick look around so that he doesn't get surprised and then heads for the abbots room.

Aurum and the others reach the abbot's door without incident. Raoul thinks he hears the sound of something moving nearby but cannot effectively place it. Aurum grasps the door handle and finds that it will not turn. Not only that but the door will not open with a hard shove.

From within Naedath's voice calls out "you cannot enter! Not while my magicks hold this door firm."

"But you said the spell would only last a few minutes" comes the worried voice of the abbot.

"Well, I did but they don't know that," replies the wizard, "look just go away," he calls out to the shambling corpses he believes are at the door.

Aurum shouts back "We are far from dead and if you want to stay that way you should open the door Naedath."

"Easy brother," Rogan says, assuming the threat is just due to the fight.  "They aren't enemies, and they'll probably be safer in there for now than if we were to take them with us."
Raising his voice, he calls through the door.
"Master wizard?  Abbot?  It's only us.  We're going to make sure this floor is clear of any zombies, then if that spell is going to wear off by then you'd probably be safer with us."
