"As much as I hate to suggest it, I think we should investigate this.  We can either all go - or a couple of us can go and look see, and the rest stay here.  I will volunteer to investigate."

The pile of rags & machinery slowly coalesce into Ivor as he stands up....

"Now that I'm awake - sorta - we might as well all sort it out so that it bloody well doesn't interrupt our rest again"!

As Raoul and Ivor head out of the door, Aurum begins getting into his armour (with help from a few of the others to speed up the process). Heading along the corridor, Ivor and Raoul head down the spiral staircase at an unhealthy speed but both manage to maintain their balance. I'm assuming Raoul isn't taking all his gear with him since he probably took some of it off to sleep, otherwise the amusing jangling as he bounces and scrud*es along the walls on the way down will definiately wake everyone up :).

Through the kitchen and out into the courtyard they go, lit by the sickly green light and the moon overhead. Ivor blinks afew times and glances around, taking in the bizarre unnatural lighting. Raoul spies that the door to the geust house is open.

Raul has his sword and sheild to had and his bow and quiver slung.

No unearthly clanking from me!

Once Aurum has his armor back on he grabs his shield & axe and heads off to meet up with them.

He'll be a while catching up with them but I'm assuming he puts his armour on in a hurry without tightening all the straps properly and stuff so he can get into it quicker (as it's an emergency). He's also being helped so he won't be that far behind them.

He makes sure his armor is on and fastened correctly before anything but he does have help so it doesn't take that long.

Kiaphas helps with the armour, then grabs his scimitar and follows along.

Rogan will be right behind Raul and Ivor, with just mace and buckler.

"Hurry!  Someone's alive out there!" he shouts.

Enterring the hut Raoul spies two figures struggling in the dark. The table has been overturned and one has it's hands about the others throat and is crushing the life out of him. As he takes this in Ivor bumps into him, eager to see what's going on.

Raoul's sword flashesh in the darkness, catching the light from the doorway and window perfectly as it slices across the creature's lower back. It sags but remains standing. With a few words Ivor produces a soft enchanted glow that fills the room. As Jondyn struggles ineffectualy to break free from the foul corpse dangling from his throat Raoul raises his sword and cleaves it in twain from shoulder to hip! The legs crumble and the upper body hangs, one arm trailing downwards as the body tugs at it.

As Jondyn swoons, and Rogan comes jogging across the courtyard, Raoul tugs the remainder of the fleshpuppet from him and casts it aside. The poor deadwalker is no more. By the time Aurum arrives Rogan is checking the drunkard's injuries. His neck seems somewhat crushed and squashed but he'll live.

Fight's over folks. That was nice and quick.

"I could have got more sleep, drown it! Ah, well. I guess our alcoholic friend should come up and stay the night in the room next to ours. Can't be having him scream for help again, and making us traipse all the way out here!"

"Agreed.  You'd better come with us, Jondyn, so this doesn't happen again."  taking him by the arm, Raul turns to Ivor. "Thankyou for the light, my friend - I rather expected the fight to be harder than it was, but I'm glad it was short."
