I need a reason to have looked out there though. Was there a window in the the doctors room that Olothros could have peered out of while he was in there.

Actually I think I just found a way to do it 'in game.'

Well, your horses are still stabled outside so that would be as good a reason as any to look round. I can't see a problem for such a nosy character. I don't think it's too great a leap for him to just have a look round. I would in that situation. It was snowing last night, so the PCs wouldn't have memorised every detail of the asylum exterior.

I just wanted to avoid using something I knew in game that he wouldn't but I see what you mean about his curiosity.

I think that sort of instance is fine as you came up with a very good reason to go round there.

Okay, chaps, let's step up a gear now in writing those descriptions and actions. Feels like we've hit a bit of a rut (me included);  really go for it with the writing and enjoy telling us what your character's doing, saying, feeling.

I'm there. Waiting for Lunk though... I feel a bit confused right now. Just heading out after the doctor??? Seems like there's unfinished stuff left what with the tentacled slimey beings? But I'm really lost as to any alternatives. Seems we've searched most of the place and it also seems like Fabian wants us to move it... I'm a bit at a loss here I must confess.

I know I had Olothros search just about everything in the place and idin't turn up much. I don't like leaving the patients up in the air but I dont know what else we can do. Plus I am wondering if one of them knows more. Lets see what the Kurt and David think.

Consider that the slimey things were found in the sewer, the sewer leads outside near the horses. The doctor is obviously running off to the bad things hes done to cover them up... the patients are a distraction. Lets go after the doctor! Simple as that.

Im struggling with the descriptions and thoughts. probably because i feel like we arent getting anywhere at the moment..  I need to pick it up a notch with my role playing sorry.

I felt the same way for a while. I am glad both of you are on right now. I am going to have Olothros as you something in my next post.

I think things will get more interesting now. Hey and Alf gained a level so we are a little stronger too. I am almost there and need that next level to get some more pop in my spells.

I think one of the slimeys is still hiding in the asylum, and that the patients are in danger.  Dunno where the doc ran off to, but I'm sure he's coming back.  Wow, endless possibilities!  Or, maybe the unaccounted for slimey is the one in pieces in jars?   :icon_scratch:  I'm feeling Int8 about now, just like Lunk!  Huh, maybe if we had a decent charisma among us, we might have been able to have a more informative talk with the good doctor.  I doubt he's evil or planning to do his patients any harm.

Olothros has Int (19 and soon to be 22) covered but that is about it. I sacrificed the rest so that he would almost never fail a check related to his craft. His Cha is only 8 so I won't be useful for interrogating anyone.

Could torture help? I'm sure Will is inexperienced but very very eager to learn. He could practice on Pym or the shorty halfling  :icon_twisted:
