Ahem... My name's Chris, I live in the UK and I'm a geek. Some of you may know me from the FoD.
I started D&D Basic when I was 9 and got dragged into GW stuff because at the time it was another place to buy TSR modules (now that really dates me!). As I got to 18 I got very disillusioned with GW and that coincided with the loss of my local indy game shop. The internet was still a long way off so I gave the whole lot up.
I got dragged into roleplaying again a few years ago by a friend looking to pull me out of a funk caused by a long period of unemployment and I've been gradually increasing my hobby involvement ever since, finally getting back into painting minis earlier this year after my DM introduced me to HF and I got hooked on Kev White's ladies. I'm a trained and multiple-degree qualified marine biologist but currently I stack shelves in a well known supermarket chain, having got and lost a whole new job as a government fisheries biologist since I restarted in the hobby. Thanks to all of you who voted Labour last election, I was one of your Civil Service cuts  :icon_wink:
And that's me.
I'm not bitter about the Labour thing...

Hey all.

I need another membership like I need a hole in my head, but there've been times...  Anyhow, I'm happy to find old friends here.  Some have fallen silent at the other place I've seen them, some not so silent. 

I haven't spent any time lurking at all, consequently, I'm completely unaware of tone, tenor, focus, that sort of thing.  Nevertheless, here I am.

I've done a bit of roleplay, tabletop wargames, baseless kitbashing and scratchbuilding, but now I suffer most from Attention Deficit Modeling Disorder.  Too many things started, nothing finished.
