I'm going to be ducking out of this one. Just started DMIng an adventure on ENWorld with a load of house rules to keep track of :D :Doh!:

Okay, just remember that Night Below is an open campaign (so characters can drop in and drop out over time but it'd be nice to have a core group). So there's always an invitation waiting here for you if you'd like to join in later mate.

Fabian

Thanks dude. Appreciate it.  :icon_wink:
The questions we should be asking are these:
Does it have dungeons?
Does it have dragons?
Does it have transients who kill things for money?  Do you roll a d20?

Custom_Hobby

As I understood it you do that stats, then choose your race and class, once you have that set you then adjust the scores. My scores before the adjustment are:

str 16
dex 14
con 12
int 12
wis 10
cha 14

As you can see that is 32 points or if you want to check. I then added the adjustments (+2 str, -2 dex, +2 con, -2 cha) for my race and there u have my final scores:

Str  18
Dex 12
Con 14
Int  12
Wis 10
Cha 12

Since I went and cleaned up my character thread I figured some of it was relevant here. I forgot to remove that part (but I also did not change the origial title on those posts so you can still tell which were from my thread).

@Chrysalis = What race are you thinking about choosing?

@ Fabian = Are you still thin king about playing?

My paladin will be human. For sure.

Well I've added that to your character sheet. Feel free to start posting ability scores here or in your character thread.

Fabian

You're right, Mike.

:icon_ermm: ummm, sorry, not taking part... I'll be off now...  :icon_wink:

Ok boss!  :icon_wink:

Edit: Removed the double post :icon_wink:

Ok, I see something quite balanced, like this:

Str 8 > 14 (6pts)
Dex 8 > 12 (4pts)
Con 8 > 14 (6pts)
Int 8 > 11 (3pts)
Wis 8 > 11 (3pts)
Cha 8 > 16 (10pts)

32 pts total...

Thank you Fabian. Blagin also confirmed it in a reply to my PM. Ok so moving on, I will roll up a wizard today. I figured we need one so I will do it.

Okay gotcha. Well you've got a lower wisdom than I'd expected (thought I'd see a 12 there) and the same goes for intelligence. Anyway you've got 12 skill pointsa to play with so spend them wisely :p.

Edit: trimmed the quote :icon_wink:

Chrysalis

I'll focus on class skills:

Diplomacy 2
Handle Animal 3
Knowledge (Nobility and Royalty) 2
Knowledge (Religion) 2
Ride 3

I think I might make my wizard a Deep Imaskari (+2int, -2dex)
• Low-Light Vision
• +4 bonus on Hide checks when underground
• Spell Clutch – may re-prepare one 1st level spell that he/she prepared and cast that day.

Do you have an objection to a wizard (we need one) or the race? Is there a list of races that are out?

The race.

1: I don't know what it is.
2: It sounds like that race of elves from Dragonlance who got turned into the ogres when the gods got angry with them.
3: If it's anything like it sounds like it is then I have a third very valid reason for disallowing it that I won't explain now 'cause it'd break stuff.

QuoteIs there a list of races that are out?

If it's not in the PHB then it needs GM's approval.

Custom_Hobby

Ok fair enough. I will run a few by you later then. I don't want to go with an elf (again) so I need to see what else I wouldn't mind playing. I am open to suggestions guys.
