I'm waiting for him to pick a god to worship (and thus domains) before declaring anything else a class skill.

Now I just need to pick what feat I want him to have and then we need to settle the issue of starting gold (I hope max). My guy is a knight so I will need to get the heaviest armor I can afford and a good weapon.

And I can't do that untill CH reply's to my PM about the god's of this setting.

What will the standard language be? I know you don't like the use of common

I am uploading that now and will pm you once it is ready. Do you have the players handbook?

Okay mate, all sorted. Now you need to pick a feat and wait for everyone else to catch up :p.

Balgin Stondraeg

Common works for Greyhawk. I'll do languages in their place in the statblocks.

Custom_Hobby

I am trying to figure that out right now. can we get a ruling on gold? I am at the pc and just want to finish him already.

Will you also do undercommon as well?

I'm thinking probably average starting money for everyone (it's slightly better than half) or I can roll it for you each individualy.

As for a feat, based on current ability scores I'd recommend great fortitude (unlocks die hard), power attack (unlocks cleave), weapon focus or one of those "+2 to two skills" feats. You don't have the dex or int for defensive combat feats.

That's the clicks & sign language one isn't it? This group really needs a wizard now (you'll be kicking yourselves later if you don't take one, at least once every time you loot an enemy wizard's spellbook and can't learn any of the really nasty spells they were pumping into you because you're all wild casters or clwerics :p).

Yes it is. So will that be in there too?

If no one makes one I can make a second character. It doesn't seem like we are going to have as many players for this one as I thought.

Please roll mine and let me know what you get (if you roll too low I will go with the average). the knight gets 4d6 x10.

I am not going for any defensive ones since the class has a bunch of defensive features built in. I am going offensive and am leaning toward the ones you suggested.

Yes but I'll give it an actual name (I seem to remember it being caleld something else in the DUngeoneer's Survival Guide). Similarly Common will be caleld Tradespeak or Pidgin ('cause that's what it is :p).

We'll see how it goes. If you guys do survive and complete it all you'll still have something like 4 or 5 spellbooks you won't have finished learning yet. There are a lot of enemy wizards and they all carry their spellbooks on them (along with wands and assorted other things).

While you're on Mike, did you find character sheet thread generation quicker and easier than trawling through this thread for information? I'm happy for people to post stuff in their character sheet threads and I'll then update them. It might work quicker that way.

I'm actualy planning, during play, to have each player have an "updates & changes" post that they'll make at the bottom of their thread when they go up a level or use spells, stuff like that. And then I can see all the changes that need to be made in one easy place without having to read back through 3 or 4 pages to see if Rhana gave Ellion that potion of cure moderate wounds or not :p. It seems artificial but I think it'll actualy help things flow better.

I think the way it worked out this time was much more player friendly. I hope it works for you too.

Whatever works best for you. That is actually why I did that same thing with Dekions thread. I added the ring he won and the battleaxe he found at the bottom of his thread. It helps me keep track and I figured would be easier for you too. Try this link and you will see some sheets you can either print out or just save somewhere (like a character thread if you want). http://www.penpaperpixel.org/downloadspage/ppnpplayercharactersheets.htm  I use them for all of my characters.

Yes, but not for Greyhawk.

I am still sorting and uploading. I will PM you with the link to it when I am finished.
