So what are the alignments going to be (we all know mine since he is a devil)?

So an devil imp, not a demon imp, right? I almost want to make a demonologist to keep trapping the imp with pacts and promises :p). In fact will there be an npc who owns the imp? I could see some amusing things happening from time to time.

A demonologist wouldn't do anything to a devil. Imps are devils. Some Mages use them as familiars but only when the devil chooses to.

The term is generic. Actualy I was more sort of supplying ideas for the GM to use :). Imps can be summoned away at the most awkward of times as well.

Summoning rituals are not as random as some play them out to be. Plus mine serves a much higher power.

I never meant randomly summoned. That's why it can really happen at the most (maliciously) awkward moments :p.

Well, you all picked intersting races (and very natural classes to reflect this), so yes, it will be interesting.

The one thing I'll have to enforce a bit more since you are all monsters, is if guards walkiing down the street see you, they will attack you alot more than my other party.

My Gnoll is going to be evil. I still wonder if he will be chaotic-evil or nasty-evil... :dragon:

And I considered playing a darkmantle (I love darkmantles, don't ask me why...), but I fear it would be hard to play among a party of humanoid characters  :icon_scratch:

Darkmantles would be a bit iffy, I'd stick with the gnoll, it makes things simpler.

This imp has been imprissoned for two years, being tested on with all sorts of things (who's effects will become much more apparent later), if he was summoned, then he probably would have been summoned away by now by his owner.

I was thinking my Warlock would appear to be almost human, but not quite.  I'll add a description as I roll up the character.  I was thinking CG for alignment, but CN might be more appropriate (the bonkers alignment!), given what the others have said.  I can't go for evil anything, though, as an Aasimar.

Any problems with a female character?

Don't worry, I was just thinking of the darkmantle when I was chosing a race. I like the idea of playing a Gnoll  :icon_twisted:

All imps are propper devils, there are some that have owners, mine doesn't. I am not playing a familiar. Would anyone be saying that if I were playing a pit fiend?

You'll need to be careful Balgin.  It might only be once a month, but that Eldrich Blast is available all month!  You'd just better hope that her Celestrial ancestry means that she's good about it!

I don't know I am getting tired of everyone acting as if my character is someones pet so I am either switching it to a drow or just dropping out of this one.

Stick with the imp, Mike and then let the NPCs reap the consequences of underestimating you when you sneak attack their worthless hides. The other PCs will be pre-disposed to see him as a pet or familiar, but will perhaps grow to respect him when he opens a can of whup-ass in combat.
 :icon_wink:

I don't think anyone's being malicious, it's just the imp as servant has a long-standing tradition in D&D - and 3E is all about breaking out of stereotypes, so embrace your imp-hood, and death to the naysayers!  :dragon:

The questions we should be asking are these:
Does it have dungeons?
Does it have dragons?
Does it have transients who kill things for money?  Do you roll a d20?
