Not from what I can see. I am playing an Imp Rogue and Chrysalis is playing a Gnoll Ranger. You can be a human too if you want (I think).

Reading Book 1 right now in a different window ... I'll get back to you soon ...

So I'm tempted by a Lizardman character.  Or perhaps an Orog, if I can find the creture profile for it!What do you think? Are you using Savage Species?...

Or maybe a halfling if that's all too complex.

humans are fine

6th level

no elves or dragons

every character must have a reason for being in jail

That's about it for restrictions

I could work with just three, so if no one else shows interest in the next few days I'll start it up with just you guys.

Having three actually makes it easier, as I'm running this campaign with my usual DnD croud, and I have a party of 3 so I can use the same opponents, and similar treasure.

Great! Can't wait to see what will happen...

Do you need to know why we are in jail before we begin?

As long as it works for you. Are there any books you think you need or want (I have a ton of them)?

Makes a change from "you all meet in a pub" doesn't it? :p

The following to be taken with a large pinch of salt and tongue in cheek...  :icon_wink:

Are you a vagabond who kills for cash? Are you looking to meet similar homeless folk who slaughter so-called 'monsters' for fun and profit? Here's how!

You will all meet in:

a) prison
b) a pub
c) the mansion of the local lord
d) the local temple
e) a street when a fight breaks out

Your party shall consist of one of the following options:

a) stereotypes
b) anti-stereotypes
c) characters ripped from novels
d) psychopaths

You are....

A paladin?
a) obnoxious
b) stupid

A thief?
a) a merry, annoying gadabout
b) a kleptomaniac

A wizard?
a) an 'eccentric'
b) a pyromaniac

A fighter?
a) greedy
b) bloodthirsty

A cleric?
a) bored
b) boring

A ranger?
a) Aragorn
b) Drizzt

A monk?
a) a serene, tranquil sage
b) Jackie Chan

A barbarian?
a) The Hulk
b) Conan

A bard?
...
Who the hell plays bards?

A druid?
...
Why?

The questions we should be asking are these:
Does it have dungeons?
Does it have dragons?
Does it have transients who kill things for money?  Do you roll a d20?

OK, so I did some reading last night, and if it is OK with Eyeolas, I'd like to play a Aasimar (Plantouched Celestial, Monster Manual I) Warlock (class from Complete Arcane).  I would talk all six levels in the Warlock class.

Lots of reasons for a Assimar Warlock to be imprisoned by anyone, although just being weird and charismatic is probably enough, but taking out some of the guards that come to arrest this character would probably be added to the "charges".

I rolls some stats useing the d20 Dice Bag this morning (http://www.penpaperpixel.org/tools/d20dicebag.htm) and got the following stats from the rolls below: 13, 16, 17, 15, 18, 8

4d6+0
2,4,6,3+0 = 15

4d6+0
1,4,6,6+0 = 17

4d6+0
5,6,6,3+0 = 20

4d6+0
6,6,3,3+0 = 18

4d6+0
6,6,5,6+0 = 23

4d6+0
2,3,3,2+0 = 10

Can you let me know if this is OK so far, Eyeolas, and if it is, I'll proceed with the character creation.

Edit: Sorry, that would be taking all _five_ levels in Warlock, as Aasimar are LA+1.  Ooops.

Rolls are fine, and so is the class/race. just make up a sheet in the next few days and we should be good to go this week end.

Well, you all picked intersting races (and very natural classes to reflect this), so yes, it will be interesting.

The one thing I'll have to enforce a bit more since you are all monsters, is if guards walkiing down the street see you, they will attack you alot more than my other party.
