The Anti-Rant Thread

Ok, we're moving to a bigger appartment this week-end. It means two things:

- First, right now, I'm all dedicated to wallpaper, painting and things like that. And I feel sooooo tired - and the hardest time has to come on saturday, when we'll carry all the boxes and furniture. :shrug:

- The other thing is that I'll be off the net for an unknown time. So see you soon guys!

(Yes, this is still an anti-rant thread, because we're real glad moving to a bigger place, and only on the first floor - whereas we were on the third without an elevator, and with two kids!)

I just bought my tickets to go and see the New England Patriots playing the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Wembley Stadium in the autumn.  Woop! :D

This doesn't start off sounding like an anti-rant thread, but stick with it ...

Some of you will know that I was made redundant two weeks ago (Monday 16th November, to be precice).  Well, I've been rather busy (and not a little bit lucky) in the mean time, and I have landed a three-month contrtact, with options to extend, starting Tuesday 1st December! And more than that, I am really looking forward to the work! :)

Thanks, Agentmolar :)  Just need to deal with the cumbersome bureaucraacy of the JobCentre that is only just starting to realise I've been made redundant.  I hope I don't give one of the advisors a heart attack by finding work so quickly!

Thanks Cheddar :)  Actually I'm now programming UI on embedded Linux systems.  Probably not a million miles from those controllers you said your Dad wanted to use.

Actually, my first job was programming binary loadlifters - very similar to your vaporators in most respects ... ;)

It is my eldest daughter's first day at school today. Her Mum dropped her off and she said she was happy, settled straight in and didn't even look like she might cry! Yay!!

We'd better make sure she doesn't get lost in the deep snow on the way home, though!! :D
