My GD entry WIP. yet another uncompleted mini
« on: August 17, 2007, 09:22:49 AM »

Yes i know, i rarely finish my minis, but im working on this one for GD.

Im happy how its going, im working on the idea of getting my highlights down first, then blending those layers together at the end.

Cool, I've got one of these in the pile. Are you using Camo green for your highlights?

He's coming along good, there's a slight bit of black below his right eye from when you did his Iris.

The skin looks very natural to me (not that horrible 'cartoon' green that a lot of Orks are painted) so that's a plus point  :clap2: .

The red phone (and smaller details) contrasts nicely with the rest of the mini.

I think you could do worse than to darken the jacket slightly because the more natural skin tone blends a bit with it.

Overall it looks pretty darned good but could do with a little more contrast to make it really POP.

:clap2: The skin tone and the shading on it are great. I agree with Inso that if you made the jacket darker to contrast a bit more it would pop! On the other hand I think you have done a very good job with the jacket and wouldn't want you to possibly muck up quality work. Are the boots supposed to look dusty? Overall terrific work Kurt
