Hey Balgin, I'm not sure that it'll become important, but where did Shen decide to take up his (long and boring) vigil over the inn?  Looking at the map, I can't tell if the granary, marketplace, or millhouse would have a better view of doors and windows, let alone which of them would provide the best cover against prying eyes.

Shen follows those headed for the other inn as far as just outside the Baron of Mutton.  He then turns and says, "If Hasta is correct in her guess that Chenna's disappearance is related to her own attempted kidnapping, it may be best if I remain here to watch over the wizards."  With that, he begins looking for a vantage point where he can keep an eye on the majority of the possible entrances to the inn, but where he will not draw unnecessary attention to himself.  Once he finds such a spot, he settles in to watch for suspicious activity until his companions return.

Let's have a look then shall we?

The mill is where Chenna's parents live (Halpen and Parella) so you shouldn't have any problems getting their permission but they'd probably be very upset if ythey found you skulking about outside their house (and might not understand why you want to watch the pub since she's definitely not there any more).

The granary door is locked and the building is round. It might be difficult to be inconspicuous there but it's the best vantage point for watching the front of the inn.

On the near edge of the marketplace stands the town hall/courtroom/building that gets used for various functions. It's currently abandoned (but probably locked). The fact that it's got corners and at least another building close on one side means it's got a good hiding place and is probably your best choice for now (but won't offer the best view).

Skulking around the base of Town Hall it is, then.  It looks like that will give me a (somewhat obstructed) view of both locations with party members, which might be best anyway.  Okay, enough of me interrupting the action.

Whereas I got to spend the last two days deciding what this thing is. I think it's some sort of water bottle and the fact that it's wrapped in some sort of leather holder thing (which looks really tacky) implies that it's not made from leather. I haven't decided if it should be clay or metal yet (and completely fail to understand why he's got it strapped to his back or why the stopper sticks up so much).

I also don't understand why it's gto two pegs strapped on the side. Is it full of tar or pitch and they're meant to be tiny torches too small for his hands to even grip? There's also that strip across the middle. I need to decide if that's the bottom poking out there at the bottom (with an odd cogwork design around the bottom) or if it's the leather stitched together. I've finaly decided that it's the leather (since there's leather above that broad horizontal strip too). I've got a unit of ten of these guys so I don't want to commit to a colour scheme for this odd item before working out what it is and which bits are made of what.

I won't ask why miners would have axes, but I'd suspect it's pitch/oil for torches if that's what they are.  Still, I'd be tempted to paint it as his personal booze ration.

It had me miffed too. All I can suppose is that they're modified mattocks. Basicaly a mattock with an axe blade where the hammer head should be and the pickaxe side sharpened and enlarged to make it nastier too.

There's a lot of worse words the boards haven't censored and it's such a nicer round full sounding word than the cold clinical dead prostitute which just doesn't sound like a swear word at all. Or even a word worth using, for that matter.

That part isn't open for discussion I removed it from the game thread.

I added that comment because a certain other word often used to describe female hounds has the same number of letters and, given the context, my players might have wondered which word had been censored out.

Once the discussion with Mr Cullen is over you've no idea how quickly the trip on the barge will go just to get everyone back into things again :).

I don't know how it works for you guys, but here in France Thursday was a holiday as well as Monday will (12), so the week-end is pretty long, family and all... I can get a look on the board from time to time, but not that much.

Oh, and I also found a job, begining next Wednesday, so I won't have as much time as I used to.
