Try as he might, Aurum seems incapable of openning the trapdoor from this side. It's very well set and fits tightly into the floor. He simply cannot force his axe blade between the slab of stone and the floor. Common sense would indicate that there is some means of openning it nearby or that there is another entrance to whatever lies beneath the trapdoor.

"Friend Aurum, perhaps it were best that we endeavour to find another way to circummvent this barrier." Alarian adds kindly.

The questions we should be asking are these:
Does it have dungeons?
Does it have dragons?
Does it have transients who kill things for money?  Do you roll a d20?

Grumbling Aurum gets back up and once again looks like he is ready for a fight. "Err I guess you are right. Anyone notice anything that might be a trigger? So what now?"

Kiaphas looks around to help search for any trigger mechanism.

Okay, taking 20 takes 2 minutes per square of the map. Could you please indicate for me which order you want to begin searching squares in so that I can work out how long it takes you to find anything? There are actualy a few countdowns to timed events going on at the moment so it'll help me work out the time of day (or night). I think it's currently about half four heading for five in the afternoon but it may be later. I erred on the side of exess a little when estimating searching times in the monastery earlier and have "reduced" some travel times to balance things out a bit.

If you drop a series of numbers on the squares in the order you want to search them that'll help. The "tower" section to the right is the top floor. Those windows aren't sliding panels built into the walls or anything :p.

I'll start with the two squares that have columns closest to the trap door (one on either side)

Okay, nothing in those two squares. The second column is actualy in three or four different squares so I went with the one that's got the second most of it in (the one with the most in's also got the trapdoor so you've already searched that one so I went right one).
