My sister just uploaded a couple of illustrated poems to deviant art and asked me to let people know.

She'd appreciate any feedback you have, and if she gets some replies to this post, she has promised to register an account with the Custom Hobby Forum :D

I liked them, the one about the pea and bean made me smile (I needed that).

Well I said I would join so here I am now, a Dragon egg. I'm glad I made you smile anyway, my next mission is to figure out who/what/why Cheddarmonger is.
Also, nice forum - the friendliest I've seen in a long while :)

Bryony's panda's is very good, nice rhythmn to it - but I'm not sure if you mean devoid or void..?

Bean and Pea is a nice idea and I like the story but the rhyme of Walk and Dark takes me out of the poem, I don't think it flows as well as the Panda poem.

Panda's clearly my favourite to. But I'm a real sucker for Lewis Carrol styled nonsense rhymes me  :)

Illustrations are great for both of them. I like the simplicity and nice expressions on bean and pea.
Welcome!

Thanks for the welcomes and the feedback. The poetry is new for me so it's great to have people comment on it.

I think 'devoid' would have been a more accurate word to use than 'void' but 'void' fits the rhythm of the poem and I don't think it's inaccurate (http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/void(-adjective[3]) - although I'm unsure about how reliable this dictionary is).

Reading my writing through in a standard English accent is something I should do - 'walk' & 'dark' rhyme when your accent is broad Yorkshire ;)

I use that online dictionary all the time. It is a good one.
