Do we need to make Knowledge checks to know that Maxim is a werebear, or is that as obvious to our characters as it is to us?

Kundar actualy used the word shapeshifter so it's fairly obvious to the group what he means :).

And yes, a werebear's a lot of experience for a 1st level party (even with two extra high level members). I'll give "kill xp" for saving it (as if vanquishing a dangerous foe). That ought to put you all on about 400-500 xp each (or more).

Since Maxim is a young werebear I've downgraded him (effectively taking the "creature advancement system" a step backwards so he's younger.

Acorns - trust me, you need acorns. OK, not for now , but for Fire Seeds spell. Also boar's bristles might be found caught against the rough bark of trees. (I think Bristle component for Bear's Endurance).

Sorry for the delay guys but the next post's going to take some composing and I haven't decided exactly how I'm going to handle a few rules related issues in it yet.

Another reason for the (continued) delay is that I've got no memory of Zhufbar being a fallen stronghold. If it's a recent event then I need to check when so he can ask if either of you two have relatives who survived the event. If it's obscure ancient history then he won't.

It's the lake one. The dwarven stronghold in a ring of mountains surrounding a large lake. I think they actualy open up onto the surface and have docks as well but I'm not entirely sure.

I probably should've 3 day rule'd the battle thread a day or two ago but I needed to check I'd still have a working computer to keep up with you guys (it needs some fissues fixing and it might've had to go away for repairs). Now I really need to get my arse in gear and do a story update on the first round before it becomes a huge backlog of stuff to write up and then we can hopefuly get the battle thread moving again.
