Here is the latest batch of greens from Reaper. So what do you think? :bludrgn2:

Yep same here. That one makes me want to buy it, paint it and play one in a RPG.

I'm not to fond of their 54 mm range. They're not making the most of it and have a long way to go to the type of quality of say an andrea miniature. Especially concerning the faces. In such a scale they should be able to get in much more detail.
Like the devil and the bugbear. Very powerful that bugbear. This is a race that often suffers from a somewhat ridiculous outlook so to my mind they have allways been a bit silly all since my old D&D days. Not so this one.

I allways like watching the reapergreens and I think it's great that they consistently keep updating them with good pics. I often go back over them and watch old favourites for inspiration. Watching greens is MUCH better for that than watching cast figures. I wish all companies presented their greens as consistently as reaper do.
Allways treat other people as the goal, not as the means.

I don't like the cubist bugbear. It's just a cube with arms and legs. Looks silly. The 54mm woman's got the "back of the head missing so the hair can go down in a diagonal line from the top of the forehead" problem too :(.

I was surprised how good the pic was of the bugbear. Normally most people say they have a hard time taking pictures with putty that color. Maybe it had to do with the color of the background. Either way I like that sculpt. I also go back over them from time to time.

I love the female pirate and will probably pick her up at Gencon. Also love the bugbear-finally something that looks powerful.

Dr.Evil

Lesser Devil (Warlord, Darkspawn) by Tim Prow
Too cortony looking for my taste.

Maria Roseblade 54mm (Master Series Miniatures) by Jeff Grace
Looks OK but not to my taste.

Korgug, Bugbear Bully (Dark Heaven Legends) by John Manor and Swamp Shambler (Dark Heaven Legends) by Michael Brower

Like the look of them both, the "Korgug, Bugbear Bully" would make a good meaty Werewolf if you wanted to use him for such or a Yeti if you want to add him to your collection Cheddar.

:yeahthat:  Have you been sneaking into my head and stealing my opinions again, Wristaction?

I couldn't agree more :)

Bah.

I'm a huge Reaper fan, but Bah I say.

Lesser Devil -- interesting sculpt, good quality, but I wouldn't want it.  Maybe if I were playing Necrons...

Bugbear -- there's other, better bugbears on the market.  I"m not diggin' Manor's sculpts, they're uninspiring.  Painted one recently, half orc barbarian, and just finished him up as "good enough," just wasn't inspiring.  Besides, this guy looks more chunky then furry.

Maria Roseblade -- I just wouldn't want that one.  Reminds me of those cheesy pewter statuettes you see in gift shops, expect this one to be perched on a quartz crystal thingie.

Swamp shambler -- hideous, and not in a good way.  This is West Wind quality, not Reaper.

Nevermind me, I have a cruddy banner, so please click HERE for Cheddarmongers!

Personally,I love the look of that bugbear, but he looks like he's got a lot more than 3+1 HD  :icon_wink:

I've been a sucker for bugbears since Keep on the Borderlands and even managed to win local heats of the very first Golden Demon with a converted citadel bugbear. Luckily for me some tit at GW Nottingham managed to smash the poor bugger to bits when taking it out of its' packing and it didn't get as far as judging  :tantrum:

BUGBEAR!!!  :clap2: :clap2: :clap2:

I would love to see a scf-fi version of it (or convert one myself)...it's well cool  :icon_twisted:.
