(Part 2) On the Eastbeach

According to basic maths, and the notepad thread, it's about the same time, although possibly at the end of the round before the eagle is given a potion, but he'll have heard the plan and seen it coming in to be sent down.

I need to know how quickly Raoul is descending the path before making my next in game post. I'd recommend Keeper takes a look at the notepad before deciding. I'd personaly recommend starting slowly and then speeding up as he gets lower and the fall is less perrilous.

Once Aurum is good to go he runs to the woman to help

"What is that thing?" Kiaphas asks Ivor.

Raul slows down to half his normal speed for the top half of the path.  Half way down, he'll have a look up the path behind him to make sure this is not some elaborate trap, then he speeds up, as its not too far to fall then (he hopes!)

Finally (if he's still on the path), he'll jump down the last 10 feet, and see what he can do to help.  He'll check the path again when he's at the bottom.

Raul might have a weakness for girls in distress, but he knows he'll not get there before everyone else, anyway, and he hasn't got any special skills to help her.

Rogan winces as Aurum hits the ground below hard.  He keeps heading down at a safe speed, hoping that his brother and the woman will be alright until he gets there.  As Ivor pipes up, he looks at him in confusion.
"Are you trying to say we could walk straight down the cliff with that?" he asks.

[Alex]

"Well, that's putting it somewhat simply, but yes, it would allow you to climb down the cliff, much in the manner of a spider. The adhesive properties should be good for around forty minutes, I believe. So perhaps the best swimmer should use this to traverse the cliff to the ground in order to save the..."

Ivor flinches as he hears Aurum crashing into the ground below.

"Um... is your brother alright? That didn't seem like the brightest of ideas..."

If noone pipes up within the next few seconds, Ivor will cast the spell on himself and hurry down the cliff to see what he can do at the bottom.

"I'll accept your spiderclimbing rig!" Kiaphas says. He wants to meet the selkie! She's surely blessed by Gurthor! And he's tempted to curse the dumbpoop sailors out there - except he knows better.

Okay, so by this point Raoul has started down the path and Aurum has leaped from the ledge and plummeted to the beach below. As fate would have it the clay potion bottle is cracked but not split by the fall although he lies there stunned for a moment before getting to his feet. At the sight of a rapidly plummeting dwarf Raoul loses his footing and almost mimics his fall but manages to grasp the cliff and hug it after a bit of wobbling.

Up above, in the sky, the eagle begins it's weary descent. Aurum rises from his prone position and wonders how to administer a potion to an unconscious and bleeding recipricant. Meanwhile, up on the clifftop path, Kiaphas and Ivor are discussing some bizarre climbing device involving suction pads strapped to the knees and hands. Raoul, realising how far he has descended already, speeds up and as he nears the bottom, decides to leap the last few yards. Unfortunately it's less of a leap and more of a slip as he missjudges his footing on the ledge and lands awkwardly. Regaining his balance he observes Aurum standing ponderously over the girl, potion in hand.

The eagle has almost finished it's descent.

Total time currently is about 7 rounds since you all noticed the girl climb out of the sea and collapse on the beach.

Ivor casts Spiderclimb on Kiaphas, allowing him to rush down the cliff face (giving him a climb speed of 20ft), then sets off toward the beach, taking care not to slip.

Kiaphas climbs down the cliff face at 20' per round!

Raul heads over to the girl at a clip, wincing every time he puts weight on his left ankle, the one he landed on badly.

If Aurum hasn't admisinstered the potion by the time Raul gets there, he will attempt to do so.
OOC: But you are going to give it to her, right, Mike?

Aurum opens her mouth and pours the potion in hoping that it will work. "I hope I made it in time."

Alarian runs back down the path, desperate to help in any way he can.

hopefully having a base speed of 40 ft will count for something!
