[Balgin Stondraeg]

Well here's Inga. I finished her last week and took a few pictures. Since taking these photos I habe touched up a few points on the bow where the paint was uneven and flocked 2 spots on the base that didn't originaly hold the flock. I did not touch up a spot on the bow where the wood colour got onto the binding of the hand grip. I'll probably do that eventualy.

I'm not happy with the cloak. The highlight came out too pink. Dark Flesh is agreat basecoat tone for ruddy/dark leathers but I'm having problems working out how to highlight it as leather for now. I ended up inking it down to try and hide the pink a bit. It worked but not as well as I'd hoped. It really did look quite ghastly before.

Yeah, that was kind of an in joke. Remember the blue trousers incident regarding a pair of blue trousers? One of the Icelanders offers another a pair of blue trousers as  agift. In responce he asks "blue trousers? Why would I need blue trousers?"

"To protect you from the Svinafell troll. They say eh takes you into his bed and uses you like a woman every ninth night!"

Oh but there's some really creative insults in the old Icelandic Saga's. So the blue trousers coupled with the berserker's preference of wearing bright red or blue clothes (so people would really see them coming and be unable to avoid them due to not noticing them) made me go with the red trousers. I was actualy aiming for a darker red but overdid the highlightsa bit. The end result looked good 'though.
