Bits and bobs...

I've had a bit of a productive weekend and thought I'd share.  First up is a Grymn VTOL that Kev and Sally sent me.  I needed to add the legs and weapon and put a pair of speakers on the front (Apocalypse Now fans will know why):

Before Paint:

After Paint:

I also added some paint to some plastic DALEKS my son gave me:

I thought they'd make good security robots (because of the lights on the top) and I really couldn't face painting all those blobs separately.

I hope you like them  :icon_biggrin2:.

There are more pix in my blog if you are interested.

Very nice Inso. The daleks look very nice, but the VTOL is just awesome :D

Great work, Inso - they look just superb :)  I love the effect you've got on the greens.

What made you go for all black bases, though.  Not that they're bad, but they do give them the air of plastic SW minis, only with decent paintjobs!

The black bases are a temporary measure.  I haven't decided what to do with them yet (as I don't want to do my usual desert bases)...so I painted them black for now, just to cover the mess that was on there.

I would suggest that I will probably plonk on a few little details and paint the bases with a silvery colour scheme.

captain looks stunning Inso, good job there. a bit more hilight on the hair or yellow armor to help set them apart wouldnt go amiss though.
I'll be in my bunk.

Cheers!  The captain is the second version of the same conversion...the first one being here:

I think the colour blend is more down to my terrible photography than the paint job (as the hair is considerably whiter than the armour in real life).

Here's the next update (a pilot/mechanic and a worker robot):

Looking good, Inso :)  From whence does it come?
:hal:

Inso

It is a toy from E-bay.  It is the new film version of Thunderbird 2 (with a few minor modifications).  It cost me £6-85 including postage and is nearly a foot long!

Awesome.  Anyone taking a sweep on how long I can stay off ebay?

Too late.  Looked before finishing this reply! :)
