This is my latest Miniature, Shaelin, female bard. Pretty happy with this one although the photo has shown that i need to tone down of the enormous shiny sword (still, at least there's no undersized scabbard hey Balgin  :icon_tongue: :icon_wink:).

Same as always, comments and tips appreciated.

Why does everyone keep painting things I've put in the queu for ages?!  :pain10:

I like the blue. That's come out nice.

I like the color choices, good job!

My only quibble, she looks like she just rolled out of bed.  Theres a tutorial somewhere on painting female faces; she could use a little lip color...

By the way, thanks for posting the pic to your gallery on Cheddarmongers -- on my gallery, you can go to "show item urls" and then you'll have lines of code to choose from.  The one under "BBcode Formatted Links" called "Show a clickable thumbnail linking to the original" creates the code you can copy and paste into a forum post:

I cropped the thumbnail for you.  Is that another Reaper?

Maybe paint the crossguard and skull on the sword brass or bronze and the grip brown.
The blade needs to be darker at the hilt and up the center some, black ink wash on the blade and a brown ink wash on the bronze\brass bit's (if you do them).

And give the chainmail a black ink wash too, painting chainmail black and dry brushing it with GW chainmail and highlighting it with silver will give a good effect.

I agree with Wristy; the sword and the chainmail could use a little work...  :)

Good stuff, your metals have fallen behind the rest of your painting IMO...

Whatever you do with it make sure the pommel's the same colour. Whilst technicaly the tang of the blade continues all the way through the sword hilt the pommel's often an extra bit that gets up on the end of the spike (an important counterweight).
