He gets knocked down, and he gets back up....

Unfortunately the spiders attacked him in the night and I didn't quite get all the cobwebs off him before taking the photos (I missed a few). The sunlight (when the rain finaly let up) was pretty harsh too and I should've probably let my shadow fall over him so the shadows on him would contrast less.

I like him, I like the skin colour.

Good paint job.

Could do with Matting down a bit (just personal taste I don't like glossy bits that shouldn't be glossy)

I hate that varnish but it's the only one I've got (and he was doing long distance travel for a game yesterday so he really needed a quick spray). I'm a bit annoyed about the paint not quite filling the gaps where his arms join the body but I might try touching that up again later.

I'm also annoyed I couldn't find any bottles to litter his base with. The broken jugs are exactly what I wanted but the other two pieces are just compensation for not finding any bottles to leave lying around :(.

Good one Balgin.  I especially like the colour of his hood

Is it the pic or is his skin, the bronze, and the leather all close to the same shade?

Nice work!  Who makes him?  I would also second the suggestion of hitting him with Dull coat.
Long term exposure to the Orb of Confusion will give you...er.. confusion!

I invite you to my dot on the web: http://www.darkgrinminiatures.com

Once again you're referring to this strange mythological thing called dull coat which does not exist in the real world of where I live.

He's a Privateer Press model. The halberd shaft is too thin (especialy considering the fact that the rules rely on him getting knocked over a lot and it's impossible to place him in a supine position without the halberd shaft touching the ground and getting weight put on it).

Mike, the bronze definately stands out but the skin and the leathers are a bit too close. I wanted to add a final highlight to the skin but couldn't work out what to use that wouldn't come out all yellowy. I think I'd painted myself into a corner by using snakebite leather as the last colour. It's such a yellow colour when you start mixing it.
