I've spent the entire weekend waiting between castings for an antiques reproduction client so have managed to knock up and/or finish a few more bits and pieces. Bungle's already got one of the skips on the way in the post; he and gi6ers have both been sent the prototype timber pallets in the post by now. Last but by no means least is a ruined chaos/bestial shrine complete with assorted material offerings and remains....

Working on sets of dungeon doors atm - varying sizes including dwarven ones. Also planning some highly decorated runic/norse glyph stone doors in the near future. All double-sided so they can be used a varying number of ways. Lots in the sketchbook - stone tables, fortifications, etc - and Alan Simpson (who sculpted all the Grendel dwarf stuff) is working on half a dozen dwarfy bits for me too :)

Loving the skips, you were right on the pallets, dead on sculpt wise but they do need to be a little larger IMO.

Keeper

Both nice looking pieces :D

I might have to indulge myself with a Chaos Shrine (oo, er, missus!) ;)

yeah - this is the trouble with coming from a industrial modelmaking  background where we work to scale with everything - those pallets were made at 1/55 which is a popular "assumed scale" for 28mm miniatures, and they just look too small. We've got a couple of 1/50 models in the workshop at the moment and most 28mm stuff would look wrong used alongside that. I know Bungle has similar issues to me with the concept of scale and wargames miniatures ;) - especially with differing manufacturers/sculptors turning out different sized minis. Those pallets look okay next to, say, Eureka, but tiny next to Copplestone.

That said, I'll resize the artwork upwards and probably do a range of, say, three sizes within the same pack.

Scale yep... Copplestone are huge next to some foundry or Hasslefree, but people come in different size, and not many people are 6' plus and built like brick outhouses which the big miniatures seem to be compared to others.

the pallet in my garage comes to about 4" below my waist when stood on end  and I am over 6'. What size are they compare to miniatures?

The sample pallets I sent you are approx 21 x 16mm, based on a real-world size of about 1200 x 870 mm. So 16mm (short side) would be past the waist of a 32mm miniature.

The beauty of CAD laser stuff, obviously, is that it's a doddle to resize the artwork :)

got em today.

pallets seem the right size, but the Timber planks could be wider

water hydrants look great

Lamp post kits seem simple enough, anyone going to salute can see the results

bases excellent.

bits and pieces like "witches hats" cones, bags etc are great.

Skip.. very nice, that can be used as a barricade.  :icon_wink:

I've had several customers ask for chariot bases to suit the new GW daemon rules so these are my first take on something that might suit. 60 x 100mm, DS lipped profile, dungeon tile, flagstone and plain versions so far.Standard 30mm DS shown for scale.

First mixed batch of laser-cut ply bases in 1.5mm, too - as requested by Keeper (your order went out in today's post, Dave!)
Will be adding lots of sizes as I get requests, hoping to add custom cutting/sizes too.

I like these.... and I am wondering if a cobbled street version with bits of debris might go down well.

Maybe with ww2 players?

I'll have a think and have a look at some minis....

Keeper

Those chariot bases look huge!!  And lovely :)  Are they going to be in the ebay store?  I might need to start looking for flimsy excuses!

And thanks for letting me know my order is on the way :D
