I just came across this, and I can hardly believe it!!!

http://www.perry-miniatures.com/index2.html

But, if the Perrys think that they cut the mustard, then I am not going to argue with them!! And at £12 for 36 (infantry) and £12 for 12 (cavalry) I might have to get me a few :)

Gotta be impressed that they're funding it themselves, although i'm not surprised that they've made enough money to be able to do so!

Anyone else, excited? Disinterested? Disappointed? Bovvered?

At those rates I might get some too. they are nice and lets see how it goes.

By the title I thought it was a spam thread at first, lol

lol I thought that at first too  :icon_w00t:

I am not a fan of historic but they look good and are priced well.  The Perrys are well known so I expect they'll be successful.  I always wondered how one of the twins coped when he blew his hand off with a cannon....thought that'd be the end of his career but it doesnt even seem to have slowed him down !!!

Sorry, CH :icon_redface:

But what passed though my mind as I was reading it was OMG! OMG! OMG! Then I realised I sounded like someone from B.H. 90210!! :icon_redface:

I've been wanting to get some ACW stuff for a while, and I picked up some cheap 1/72 airfix, but they are really quite bad and uninspiring.

Me, too.  Seems to have speeded him up, if anything!

A mate of mine was chatting to them one day while they were having a cup of coffee .. talking away.. drinking.. eating biccies while the perrys worked on some greens.

His story goes that they kept picking up this wire dolly and adding bits to it as they talked...

by the time they had finished their coffee... between the two of them they had finished a green of a tiger for the indian mutiny range....

he was gobsmacked......

Keeper

They were both working on the same green?  Now that is pretty impressive!!  :icon_w00t:

IIRC one would do some work. Put it down have a drink, and the other picked it up and did some work on it...

Bodhi

I think really any two sculptors working in close proximity to each other could do that after a couple of months, mainly it's a matter of dropping ones pride in ones own work. It would be  a mix of the two sculptors styles surely but as far as we know ALL Perry sculpts are mixes between their two styles so no one would know but them.
And a lot of sculptors earn their money working on dollies that some OTHER sculptor made. It's the same thing really here.
I've heard stories before of their amazing speed though. Impressive!

No need to be sorry Keeper (I'm sorry I'm a little late with this). After the title I saw that you posted it and knew it was fine.
