Ok, I've done some gods casting. The problem is that I don't get what it means when it says Baklunish, Flannae or Oeridian pantheon. Here are the deities that caught my attention:

- Pelor (NG) Sun, Light, Healing (Flannae)
- Heironeous (LG) Honor, Valor (Oeridian)
- Pholtus (LG-N) Light, Law (Oeridian)
- Mayaheine (LG) Protection, Justice, Valor (Common)

Heironeous always sounds good for a paladin, but I was wondering about Pholtus. I don't know much about him. Maybe you know more Balgin?

Balgin Stondraeg

All characters in the world of Oerth fall into one of the four different ethnic groups: Baklunish, Flannaes and two other groups (I think Oeridian is world wide).

There is a country known as The Flannaes and the only "cultural" difference I can remember about the four groups is what they wear. Basicaly they all wear tartan clothes but some wear rather a lot more of it. I can look it up and check stuff if you want.

Hi

The Living Greyhawk site might be useful - all the Gods listed are on their Deities List on the Wizards of the Coast website, under RPGA. They include God's favoured weapons/alignment/domains/followers etc.

Here's the link; http://wizards.com/default.asp?x=lg/welcome, listed under Campaign Documents on the right.

Note; There are a lot more deities listed under LG, than the standard, many of whom may not be available in this camapign.

Hope this helps

If Balgin agrees, I would choose Allitur. It could fit with the concept of paladin belonging to nobility. However, if I'm allowed to do so, I might change my wisdom a little (maybe a Cha. > Wis. swap).

Balgin Stondraeg

I'm okay with that. And don't worry about swapping ability scores round. You'll get a bonus poin every 4 levels to change things you didn't liek during lower level play :p.

Then let's go. After all, this is a young paladin who probably has to learn wisdom through his quest...

I'll keep his stats as they are.

So we have a paladin of Allitur, and unless I'm wrong, my weapon of choice will be the spear...

Hmm, very Parsifal :).

Parsifal would probably have had an Int. of 6  :icon_mrgreen:

And I don't have his mother (please no!).

Which is a good deal.

The character sounds great. I bet it will be a ton of fun playing this game with the interesting characters in it.

We have a cleric of Pelor, a noble Dwarf, a paladin...More than enough to get big BIG troubles  :icon_twisted:

As for my equipment, here is my wishlist:

Scale mail: 50GP
2 Spears: 4GP
1 Dagger: 2GP
Wooden holy symbol of Allitur: 1GP
Horse 75GP + saddle 10GP: 85GP
TOTAL 141GP

I'll keep the remaining 18GP as "pocket money".

Edit: I'll also get Mounted Combat and Weapon Focus: Spear as my feats.

Here is some background for Kharsis:

Kharsis is the second son of a noble family (I'll let Balgin decide if there's a particular title tied to the name). His
father, Arius of Sheldomar, was a rugged fighter and an officer who was often away to lead troops. Kharsis remember him as a bulky bearded brute, who shared the noisy evenings of his soldiers, drinking strong brews and singing songs a child should not hear. He often wondered how this man and his mother could have married. Even more have children. On his own part, Arius considered Kharsis a puny, weak thing, and prefered to train his older brother, Braxas. Soon he would even bring him on campaigns, while the frail, too sensitive Kharsis stayed at home with his mother, Lady Rowena. There, during the day, he would witness how she administered the domain while Arius was away, and in the evening, he listened at her songs of ancient tales while she embroidered some precious cloth...
Kharsis grew up, and he was no more a pale and sobbing child, but to the eyes of his father, he never had changed. His brother, on the other hand, looked more and more like Arius. Years of blood and battles had made his heart stone cold, and when Braxas and his father came back home, Kharsis felt like a dark cloud was shadowing the sun. Then, happened what had to happen: Arius fell on the battlefield. Braxas came back come to make the grim announcement, and Kharsis felt that somebody was broken in the heart of his mother...On the winter of the same year, Rowena faded. She became very weak, and finally couldn't leave her bed. Braxas was away most of the time, so he wasn't there when Rowena was visited by the strangest guest...
The man was a knight of some kind, and said his name was Regus. He also pretented to be an old friend of Rowena, and spent most of his time sitting on a chair, by the side of her bed. They would talk when Rowena was awake, sharing what sounded like old memories. And when she was sleeping, he would pray. For hours.
It was snowing outside when Rowena died. Kharsis was holding her frail hand, and Regus was standing behind him.
Braxas came back for the ceremonial burial of his mother, but he could as well have been a stranger to Kharsis.
On the very night of the burial, Regus visited Kharsis, and told him:
-"Boy, I've nothing to do here anymore. I'll be leaving in the morning, and you'll come with me."
-"Why?" Answered Kharsis.
-"Because it was your mother's last will."
Kharsis had felt as if the knight was carrying a burden. And Regus added:
-"People talk, Kharsis. They've seen what's fair and noble in you. Rowena's legacy. And they also see that your brother is missing those qualities. Braxas knows it too, and nothing good will happen to the name of Sheldomar if you both stay here. That's why you'll come with me. I'll teach you the ways of Allitur, and you'll wield the holy power of the Lord of Justice as I do."
Kharsis nodded, but he knew he had little choice. Regus didn't have to convince him, but he finally said:
-"You'll wield this power as I do, boy,....and as your mother did!"

-4cp, I still haven't sorted his equipment list out yet :(. I'll do that soon.
