Okay, well first he needs his base finishing.

Next up there's all the little gems on his armour. I don't want to do them red and I'm leaning towards a light blue at the moment.

His thigh plates have details on them, a sort of stylised dragon/wyvern/centaur thing.I'm thinking of painting a dark colour (dark flesh/black) into all the recesses on those leg plates so that the only raised bronze details are the emblem and the ridge around the edge (plus the gem stone settings). I'm really not sure how that'll look yet and I'm not sure if I'll like it (plus everyone's telling me not to but 'cause they don't think it'll look as good done that way - but it's my toy so I can do what I like with it :p).

The base is going to need at least a bit of greenstuff filling around the edges and I'm considering trying to go for a rubble look. Please let me know what you think of him.

And yet, infuriatingly, despite a few touch ups/corrections there hasn't been a new speck of paint on him since :(.

Nice figure... but who is Kael?

I'm guessing it's from Reaper? Not my thing but...the metals look a bit flat. I'd give the silver bits a black/brown wash and the bronze bits a light wash of goblin green with a touch of torquoise to add a bit of tarnish...the red bits could do with some depth too, maybe a wash of brown into the recesses...if you want the edges to pop use a bit of fiery orange and then glaze with blood red.

Nice figure... but who is Kael?

The evil general from Willow. That character was actualy an intentional insult/homage to a film reviewer called Margaret Kael who gave really harsh merciless reviews to everything and had a bit of a reputation at the time.

Those quillons are ****ing stupid. If I were to paint him again I'd cut off about a third of the length and bend them in towards the blade in a more traditional shape.
