I love this sculpt.  It is great fun.  Yes, way cartoony, but lots of character.

I'm just not satisfied with my paint job on him!  I dunno, I think somethings missing.  Comments please!!

Darker shading, higher highlights, too many contrasting coulour's and he look's cross eyed a bit.

Apart from that a dawn good job you did on him.  :icon_wink:

I actually really like it. The only thing i would change would be the colour of the cloak and hat, just doesn't "do it" for me.

I was having a hell of a time trying to highlight that purple; no matter what I did to the color, I couldn't get it any brighter!!  I added white, I even added yellow, and it just dried flat.

ew!

Okay, I'll try it.

I was also thinking of highlighting with pure white, then washing it with purple ink

If the pink comes out too bright, then a wash should handle that.

Bruenor Odinson

Nice job mate!!

For purple, I use Lich Purple shaded with Purple ink then add Skull White to the Lich Purple for highlights, but I have to go really light on the highlights to make them show, then dull them back a little with a really thinned Purple ink glaze.

I get this then:

i like it, the freehand on the bottle is great stuff. Purple is a nightmare, I tend to overhighlight almost to white them glaze it down again. Bruenor and Cdukino seem to have this technique sorted. (If you see a mini with purple on it chances are Cindy painted it  :icon_cool:)
