Remmeber that three inch ginormous miniature Reaper sells that's too tall for Inquisitor that everyone says they'll get but never get round to it?

Well here she is. She's been fully painted for about a year and a half now (maybe two). I painted all of her exept the final highlights on the hair, the details on her shoulders, a little highlighting on the black bits, the calculator/communications laptop thinggie on her thigh, and the base. I got a mate to help out with those because she'd been sittng around in her nearly finished state for ages and it really needed doing but I couldn't find the motivation to do it (even 'though I did do that witch*y red varnish on her talons).

There's a lot of fine "multi tonal" highlights in that hair, it looked blander when I originaly did it but it's good now.

And there's a face shot 'cause it wasn't too visible in the first picture.

That's really nice. The green jumpsuit is especially good, nice one.

I called it finished because I couldn't be arsed to paint cammo patches all over it (although that's what it was a base layer for originaly). Apparently loads of people think she looks like a something pilot (a 40k thing) but I don't know what it is (a Tau thing, I think).

Good job, Balgin!

Wow, I didn't realize what a rockin body they gave her...   :icon_eek:
Nevermind me, I have a cruddy banner, so please click HERE for Cheddarmongers!

And yes Cheddsie, you can swipe the pics. Wouldn't believe she's a Klocke sculpt would you? Well yeah, look at the face, she blatantly is (but she's one of the first things he did for them so he hadn't quite developed his "lovely round face if it wasn't anorexic, gaunt, haggard and an identical clone of all the others which just makes it a bit grotesque really" style yet.

I think camo patches would spoil it, but that's just my opinion.

Ah now that you say Klocke, I can see it.
The questions we should be asking are these:
Does it have dungeons?
Does it have dragons?
Does it have transients who kill things for money?  Do you roll a d20?

Nice one, my only complaint is the blacklining between areas of skin, not sure it works for the larger scale IMO. Have you thought about glossing her eyes?

It's bestial brown at the deepest points working up into flesh tones. I'm not too proud of the skin myself but the really heavy blacklining is on the neck and chest where it's in more shadow than on the face anyway so hopefuly it doesn't stand out too much.

She's lovely :)

And I think the blacklineing on the neck and chest is fine.  I didn't notice it at all until I got down to the final bust shot.

I really like the jumpsuit too, and she reminded me of a pilot at first - but not a 40k-type - the sort of naval ladies you see in the Starship Troopers film.

Its a good job balgie. The highlighting on the green work quite nicely.. Werner Klocke indeed Fabian..

Its funny how both Kev sculpts and werner sculpts have distinctive styles of face.
Funny isnt it how naughty dentists always make their one fatal mistake.
Bye for now, keep your teeth clean
