I was rootling in my workshop last night, and I came across this chaps, that induced in me a sense of nostalgia.

Not the best minis I've ever painting, but a simple and effective colour scheme copied from the box they came in.

Anyone else remember these guys?  Or have you got any pics of minis that induce nostagia in you?

:occasion14: to all our old minis - no matter how bad the paint job! :)

And yes, I do seems to have missed a whole, huge chunk of highlighting on the second mini from the left!!!

These are pretty cool!

I'm actually a bit of a late-bloomer in the gaming hobby, so my earliest experiences only go back to the dawn of 6th ed Warhammer.  My nostalgiac collection is my Orcs & Gobblins army, which hasn't seen the light of day for a couple of years  :(   Gotta get back to painting them!
Nevermind me, I have a cruddy banner, so please click HERE for Cheddarmongers!

Remember them?

arn't they the ones EM4 still sells?

Keeper

Yep. Same thing, only I bought these in an ICE box set years and years ago.

But I love em4 too, as I play CombatZone :D

I got some unprocessed photos of some GZG Nuns with Guns to come in the next few days, when I find time to get to them ... ;)

Oh bloody hell those things. I actualy bought a box of them, kept i for about two or three years and then finaly sold them off to someone else. I always thought they looked like cheap space marine knock offs (and anyone who knows how crud* space marines look really knows how crud* bad immitations would look).

Of course they're crud* space marine knock-offs, but you don't care when you're a teenager and just want to play space games :)

But I still believe that good painting can overcome defects in bad models, although in this case, I've not done anything to help prove that belief ;)
