Somehow I ended up building an ork themed table, basically for the buildings. I don't own Orks, and hopefully I won't in a while :P

I'm also building an Ork Bastion for Planetstrike:

I have the first 'floor' and one of the automated weapons

Some more pictures. The MDF will be a landing pad. I want to finish the bastion soon so I can actually work on something else, but working on plasticard it's been a blast.

So this is my terrain report... I had to repaint my bark stones, as they were starting to chip... I covered them in a generous coat of white glue and I'm hoping that will protect them. Added stones to the tree bases and 2 'water' terrain bases.

The Ork bastion is still WIP and I think I will add a couple of ruins... probably not orky, like it was something prior the ork colonization (orks look more like a camp instead of a permanent settlement). I need ruins if I plan to use some of the scenery for Malifaux and I really like Techmarines in my Space Marine army and they have special rules for ruins.

Ooops, missed the update!

Nice work :)  How did you get that red-black effect on those two pieces? Just paint?

Yep... it's just red paint with black washes and a final layer of gloss varnish....
