BattleMech Lance

I don't know if I've mentioned before my old standing love of BattleTech.  For about fifteen years I've been wanting to paint up a light, recon lance of Inner Sphere Mechs - and a few weeks ago I saw the notice on the WaMP forum about a painting competition for Iron Wind Metals - who are the current manufacturer of miniatures for the BattleTech game! :)  So I thought I had to take part! And I just wanted to show of the result, as I'm pretty pleased with it :)

ACK what are they.... wait lemme guess. Enforcer, hollander? light mechs right? ummmmm, no idea spider?, and a locust.... strange designes.

so for feed back, base matches the ´mech id use a smidge of codex grey dry brush, and you need to pick out the weapons, and add a unit insignia, other than that, nice.

are these new representations or am i just lost?

Newer designs for Wasp, ShadowHawk, Stinger and a Locust - 1 out of 4, though :)  I assume you know about the kerfuffle they had over the Macross/Robotech designs, which still appears to be unresolved.

A common insignia is given on their right shoulders: seen here.  Sorry I didn't show you that pic :)

Do you mean a grey drybrush on the base to differentiate the camo colour from the sand colour?

Which weapons systems did I miss where I haven't at least picked out the barrel?  With most of them, I intentionally painted with the same camo scheme as the rest of the mechs.  Although I do think I should have picked out the the barrel of the laser on the right arm of the Wasp, as that mould line is horrendous and I didn't see it until after I'd taken the pics.

ok, i see it now in the second pic, and ya i know about the problems with the macross stuff, sad really concidering BT had made the mechs for over 20 years before they were forced to stop. either way good work keeper.

In fact, these mechs' are still in the little mini-studio I use for taking photos!

Been rather busy of late, especially this last weekend when I was in London to see the Patriots show the Buccaneers how a real team plays football ;)
