As some of you know, me and a couple of the lads at work are playing Blood Bowl at lunchtimes in a league.  Well, I finally finished the cup that we're playing for!

The league has been named The League of Extraordinary Wierdos, so ladies, gentlemen and sentient others, may I present The Wierdo Cup!!

Your comments and feedback are most welcome.  And yes, we know wierdo isn't spelled correctly! ;)

Nice cup.  I wish I worked near you.  I'd play.
Long term exposure to the Orb of Confusion will give you...er.. confusion!

I invite you to my dot on the web: http://www.darkgrinminiatures.com

It is a the old Blood Bowl trophy that I managed to find on evilBay, on a regular 25mm base (no slot), and that on one of Geronimo's excellent 25mm centre chaos bases.

The metal parts are simply Citadel Burnish Gold or Citadel Boltgun Metal, washed with really thing GW Scorched Brown with just a touch of black added and then drybrushed with the same metal colour again.

The skulls are a bone recipe that gi6ers gave out somewhere on these boards ages ago, starting with the same wash above over white, then building up from a Bleached Bone/Scorched Brown mix up to White at the highest highlight.

Finally, I just added some appropriate text and some patterns to the chaos base.

Gi6ers mentioned on the FoD that I could have used etched brass letters on the base (which I didn't even know you could get!) so I asked the lads if they wanted it changed as I thought it was a good idea, but they like the lettering as it is. They also said I should blame anything I don't like about it on cheap goblin labour   So it wasn't me - it was the goblins! :icon_eek:

Styrene letters are even easier to use, and available in a broad range of sizes. I had thought of sticking them in the shop but there's probably not even margin in 'em to make it worthwhile :)

I guess they'd take a lot more laser time to cut than bases!

I think I might get some brass letters, anyway - for next time!

Nah, stuff making'em on the laser - places like 4D modelshop and EMA sell them on sprues.
