Lidl is selling good sized round cork mat's, good from dioramas or terrain, two in a pack one a bit smaller than the other and a nice thinkness.
Both are 7mm thick and one is 16cm wide and the other 14.5cm.

By pure coincidence my FoDDoD plan is currently based around a 160mm diameter circle. And I need a base for it. Hmmmm! Wonder of there's a Lidl near me.
