Blood Angels Inspiration Needed!

Guys, I need some Blood Angels inspiration, please!!!

I've got a GD 1999 Space Marine Captain to paint for a friend as a Blood Angel Captain, and I am just stuck in a mental rut.  Anybody got anything, pics, fiction, ideas that might kick me out of it?

I've mounted him on a Fenris' Games (yay! geronimo) piece of fallen scenary, and painted his armour a base dark red, but that's as far as I've got.  I'll try and take a photo as soon as I can.

Watch the intro movie to Dawn of War again. Okay,it's the Blood Ravens rather than Blood Angels, but it's a seriously inspiring CGI short IMO. Made me buy some (still unpainted) space beakies when I first saw it  :icon_eek:

Just remember the Blood Angels past-of Sanguinius and the defence of the Eternal Gate, of 10 000 years of unending paternal defence of short lived humankind.  Imagine the black rage just behind his eyes-reliving the Blood Angels final moments at the hands of the arch traitor-understanding more then any other of the Adeptus Astartes about the nature of the threat we all face.

Thanks guys - this is all helping, although the Bloodquest link is just donwright depressing as I'll never be able to paint that well!!!

Try getting hold of one of the new backpacks, the old ones look naff in my oppinion (and if you intend to start a small army then it's probably best to stick to the new)

Thanks eyeloas, but its not for an army, it is a single piece for a friend, and this is the backpack that came with it.

But, I think I have got enough old backpacks for a good sized army if I did want to use them ;)
