I saw it and found it ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE.  Probably the worst movie ive seen in a long while.




Picture this-the movie leads our heroes and villians on a quest to free Calypso(excuse my spelling), the roman goddess, who had been captured years back by the various pirate lords.  Finally, with the peices united Calypso is reborn.  Yes.  Reborn into a 50 foot tall half naked woman that promptly bursts into crabs and does ABSOLUTELY NOTHING OF WORTH.



   What a bloody terrible peice of plot work.  The only good part was the death of one of the main characters and his unlife as captain of the Dutchman.


OH OH OH OH-even better.  You know that ultimate nasty Kraken beast of unkillable doom in the 2nd movie?  A cool showdown in the third? a heroic last stand by a character to finally destroy the beast? NO OF COURSE NOT.  Its a dead thing on a beach-on screen for all of 3 minutes.

It was OK...

It just seemed like they had enough for two more films and squeezed it into one.... so they left out a lot of the humour... cut short lots of opportunities for action etc.

At the very least there is some inspiration for some new miniatures.

I didnt think it was too bad at all.  If the 2 previous ones hadnt been seen then I think people would have liked this more, its just the first 2 were very good and this one had a lot more to live up to.  Plenty of scope for more releases and Kiera always brightens my day, all in all I was happy with it  :icon_wink:

Neither of them really justify another remake  :icon_eek:
